🌟 KRS CBSE – Annual Sports Meet 2025 🌟

Annual Sports Meet of Krishnammal Ramasubbaiyer CBSE School, Madurai, was held in a grand manner under the leadership of our School Secretary Dr. L. Ramasubbu. The event began with a warm welcome by our Principal Mrs. Suryaprabha.

The Chief Guest of the day, Shri K. Annamalai, IPS (Retd.), proudly lit the Olympic Torch and hoisted the National, Sports, and School flags, followed by the impressive March Past parade by our students.

In his inspiring address, Shri Annamalai said:

“India, once a nation struggling to win Olympic medals, is today preparing to host the 2036 Olympics, thanks to the vision and efforts of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is a proud moment for all of us.”

He emphasized that sports are inseparable from life. Sports nurture physical strength, mental clarity, discipline, teamwork, and leadership qualities.

Quoting Swami Vivekananda, he highlighted that a strong body and healthy mind are essential for success, and sports play a vital role in shaping confident and capable youth.

He further added, “On the sports field, children learn to solve problems, build leadership skills, and develop teamwork. A good soldier can one day become a great commander. That is why foundational sports are essential for every child.”

Over 700 students enthusiastically wrote personal invitations to Shri Annamalai, which he said was a first in his experience and a testament to the spirit of KRS students.

🏆 In the competitions, Shivaji House emerged as the Overall Champions, with Tagore House securing the Runners-up position. The winners received the shields from Shri Annamalai and Dr. L. Ramasubbu.

The event was beautifully organized by our dedicated teachers Mrs. Meenakshi, Mr. Sakthiprakash, and Mr. Dhasarathi.
