Rotary Laharry Matriculation Higher Secondary School proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day with great patriotism and enthusiasm. The celebration highlighted the spirit of freedom, unity and national pride among our students. The National Flag was hoisted with honour, followed by patriotic performances and inspiring speeches by the students. The programme encouraged everyone to remember the sacrifices of our freedom fighters and to uphold the values of our nation. The celebration concluded with a strong message of unity, responsibility and love for our motherland.

The Har Ghar Tiranga Motivation and Awareness Programme was conducted by The King Rashid International College of Aeronautics on 12.08.2026. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the importance and significance of the National Flag. It encouraged everyone to proudly display the Tiranga at home as a symbol of patriotism and national unity. The session inspired students to respect the values, sacrifices, and achievements associated with our nation. The programme concluded with a strong message of pride, unity, and love for our country.

Seerin Mariliya M has made us proud with her remarkable achievement at the 51st Tamil Nadu Shooting Championship 2026.

The 61st Annual Sports Meet was held on 7th August 2026 with great enthusiasm and sporting spirit. The event provided an excellent platform for our students to showcase their talents, skills, teamwork, and determination in various athletic and sports activities. Students participated with great energy and displayed true sportsmanship throughout the competitions. The winners were honoured and encouraged for their outstanding performances. The event was a memorable celebration of fitness, discipline, teamwork, and the spirit of healthy competition.

Rotary Laharry Matriculation Higher Secondary School proudly celebrates the remarkable achievements of its students in the M. Chatrapati D-Zone Athletics Pre-Meet, held on 21.07.2026, and the Zonal Level Athletics Meet, held on 28.07.2026 at Dr. M.G.R. Stadium. Our students competed among 50 schools in the D-Zone Pre-Meet and 15 schools in the Zonal Level Athletics Competition, showcasing exceptional talent and determination.
V. Kanishka of Class IX secured 1st Place in the 400 Metres, 1st Place in the 600 Metres, and was honoured with the Overall Individual Championship. Jai Vivekan of Class IX won 1st Place in High Jump, while P. Harivarshan of Class VIII secured 2nd Place in Long Jump. Dhuruva Narayanan of Class XI achieved 2nd Place in the 800 Metres and 3rd Place in the 1500 Metres.
These outstanding performances reflect the students' dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship, bringing great pride to the school and highlighting Rotary Laharry Matriculation Higher Secondary School's commitment to excellence in athletics.

On 28 July 2026, our school proudly organized the Kalam Green Heritage Initiative and the Interact Club Inauguration in collaboration with the Rotary Club. The programme was inaugurated by the Rotary Club members, who inspired students to become responsible citizens and environmental stewards. Students of Classes IX to XII actively participated in the event with great enthusiasm and commitment. The initiative emphasized the importance of protecting nature, developing leadership qualities, and serving society. The programme concluded successfully, motivating students to contribute towards a greener environment and a better future.

A special awareness session on the safety of women and children was delivered by " Singa Penne "special Force team. The speech highlighted the importance of personal safety, self-confidence, legal awareness, and reporting unsafe situations without fear. The session was highly informative and encouraged students to stay alert, responsible, and empowered.

The KG Department celebrated Red Day with great enthusiasm and joy. The children actively participated in art and creativity activities, showcasing their imagination and talent. The Red Fruit Fusion activity helped them learn about healthy red fruits in a fun and engaging way. The tiny tots looked adorable in their red-themed outfits during the Dress Up Like Red activity. The celebration made learning enjoyable while enhancing the children's creativity, confidence, and understanding of the colour red.

The KG department celebrated yellow day on 25 June 2026 with great enthusiasm. The classroom was decorated in yellow and children came dressed in yellow attire. The celebration made learning enjoyable and memorable for the young learners.

The students of Classes IX to XII participated in an educational trip to NPR College of Engineering and Technology. The visit provided valuable exposure to industry skills, emerging technologies, and practical learning experiences. Through interactive sessions and demonstrations, students gained knowledge beyond the classroom and developed a better understanding of future career opportunities. The program encouraged them to build essential skills, enhance their confidence, and prepare for the challenges of tomorrow. It was an enriching and inspiring experience that truly reflected the theme, "Experience Future Skills – Build Tomorrow with Confidence."
