Class IV & V - The Bengali class activity was all about Birds and Animals. All animals and birds need shelter to live in, just like human beings need a home to live in. Birds and animals are most amazing creatures on our earth. Birds have wings and feathers and can fly anywhere and they live in nests. Most of the nests are made by the birds and are beautiful. Most animals live in forests. Many people keep some animals & birds as pets. The students made charts and a book with different birds and animals, wrote a few lines on Prani O Tar Basastan....which means "Animals, Birds and their Homes". Children enjoyed the activity.

An activity was put up by the students of Class II on Mahatma Gandhi. Children were asked to write a few sentences about Gandhiji based on the prior discussions held during the English class. Gandhiji was addressed as Mahatma because he was 'the great one' He was fondly called Bapu and he fought against the British, not by hating them but by the virtue of love and kindness and that he helped us to get freedom for our country. The children drew a sketch of Gandhiji's face on chart paper. This activity made them aware of who the father of the nation was and how we can win victory through love and non-violence. The children then pledged to follow the examples of Mahatma Gandhi. They also expressed the desire of achieving greater goals in life and to make our country a better place to live in.

A class activity was done on Synonyms (Paryayvachi Shabd) to make the children identify and increase the vocabulary of the children. In the Hindi dictionary there are lots of words with the same meaning, which we call 'paryayvachi shabd' in Hindi. To make aware and identify the words, children made same pictures with two different names. This was helpful for them to remember the name of that particular thing. Lets say ...."Machali" ---in Hindi synonyms we can call them "Meen & Matsya". Like this we dealt with different words and tried to raise the vocabulary of the children which they started finding it easy and enjoyed the activity.
