Admission Notifications and PG Entrance Tests of different Universities 2019-'20
As the Academic Year (2018-'19) is drawing close, the Department of English takes stock of all the Activities that ought to have been conducted -- good & bad of their performance -- plans some programmes for the next year, make amendments and try to fulfill the desired/desirable aspirations. As Adelaide Proctor, a British Poet and Hymn Writer puts it,
"It is not the things that you do, dear,
It is the things that you leave undone
That give you bitter heartache
At the setting of the Sun"
How true!
May we learn lessons from our failures and failings and reach a stage ....
"Where tireless striving
Stretches its arm towards perfection." (Rabindranath Tagore)
With this motto, with renewed vigour and with dedicated souls, we shall step into the new Academic Year (2019-'20).
Congratulations to all my dear Students and Colleagues on the successful completion of the Academic Year.
Happy Holidays!
BUT beware (be aware) of SLUGGISHNESS!
It may sneak in during holidays.
It is pernicious for academic growth.
