A Report on Successful Completion of Three days 'District Level Patrol Leader Training and Testing Camp'.
Three days 'District Level Patrol Leader Training and Testing Camp' that was scheduled from the 5th to the 7th of December has successfully been conducted by the District Bharat Scouts and Guide Tawang Unit here in Govt. Upper Primary School Khremethang. The program was conducted at GUPSK where students of five schools namely, Govt. Upper Primary School Khremethang, Town Secondary, Govt. Upper Primary School P.W.D, Govt. Middle School Shyo and Govt. Upper Primary School kakaling participated in the said program.
The program was monitored and conducted by LOC Shri. Phuntso Dhondup, DTC Shri. Tashi Nima, DTO Smti. Yangdron Lhamo, Scout master Shri. Tashi Dhondup, Smti. Nawang Pema(staff) and Shri. Lobsang Tsering (staff).
The aim of the program was to nurture future Patrol leaders. Being a patrol leader is a great honour and a big responsibility. It is one of the most important jobs in scouting.
The Students have benefitted immensely from this program that enables them to shoulder responsibilities as youth leaders. It teaches them leadership, to accept challenges and further tackle those challenges using resources available to them. It encourages and teaches team work. All these will enable students to fight challenges in their lives skillfully and to contribute towards playing a constructive role in the society.
A grand salute to the team for conducting this very important program.
Not to forget mentioning that the team provided hearty Lunch and refreshment for all three days to the participants and the GUPSK teaching and non teaching Staff. Thuche Chey! 🙏

Students of GUPS, Khremethang today, took part in the Celebration of 'International World Disability Day' organised by the ISSE District Mission Tawang. The program was chaired by Shri. SANG Norbu Circle officer Tawang. Other attendents were CDPO Tawang, DDSE Tawang, Senior medical officer Dr. Sang Thinley and teachers cm students of various schools from different blocks. Dignitaries present addressed on topics of matter, such as govt. schemes for special children, sensitization about different disabilities: its causes and prevention and motivational speeches to boast the moral of Children in need of special care. The Speech made by the Chief Guest was the highlight of the program. He spoke on the need for all sections of society( Govt. Ngos,Religious bodies and public) to come together to provide a platform/ take off point for these Special children. He emphasised on the undeniable truth of Interdependency and that one neglected aspect of the society will have its effects on the functioning of the whole society. He stressed on the need for responsible heads to discover strengths and skills of these special children and further nurture them for a brighter tomorrow. He reminded the children to feel blessed for having life and that all of them are valuable souls who have the potential to achieve the highest goals with great determination and commitment. He wished for other children to show compassion and extend helping hands to those in need. He ended his speech with prayers for the Special children to have a healthy and blessed life.

A Disaster Management Awareness Program was conducted by the Department of Disaster Management Authority, Tawang along with The National Disaster Response Force, India in Govt. Upper Primary School Khremethang on 25th November 2019. The program was attended by Govt. Upper Primary School Shyo and Govt. Upper Primary School PWD. The four hour long session was truly educative and successful.Based on Tawang geography, the session particularly focussed on Earthquake Disaster Management skills.
We the GUPSK faculty thank the DDMA Tawang and the NDRF team for conducting a significant awareness session. We also thank GUPSS and GUPSPWD for their enthusiastic participation.

GUPSK celebrating CHILDREN'S DAY: A time for teachers to pamper the children for being these awesome souls full of love, charm and joy .
The staff guided by Mrs. Deki Drema, Headmistress GUPSK decided to make the day special by entertaining the students with a two hour movie show which was totally entertaining but also would teach them history and patriotism. While the students enjoyed the show, the teaching and non-teaching staff got busy preparing a feast for the students.
Let us celebrate our future souls. A happy teacher's day to all!
