The week has been very progressive, Hundreds of likes and comments and some personal phone calls are an encouraging trend.
Now looking to the next step,
I have shared the philosophy with many Dental teacher's and very soon an organisation is taking shape.
I request everyone to please share this post with all your dental faculty contacts as we are on need of office bearers and a Pan India team .
Proposing to print and mail receipt books to volinteers all over the country so that we can start a membership drive.
Please give your thoughts on the membership fee and annual fee that will be able to sustain and run the organisation.
Please feel free to call me at 9872253632 or send a message to my inbox.

Dear Fraternal Colleagues, respected senior's and new entrants to the dental teaching community, i am extremely happy about the good response to the Indian dental teachers association FB page.
I have been going through a lot of organized groups of all professions but sadly could not find one for dental teachers.
We are subjected to very harsh selection criteria prior to our completion of education and then later on for our selection to the dental profession . This holds true for all streams, medicine, law, education, civil services, etc but the difference being that we have no authority that takes care of our welfare and related needs.
The Dental council of India, state universities and the state governments do not even bother about the condition of Dental Teachers. They are first to enforce strict and stringent norms on teachers but do not even care to observe that a lot of colleges especially in the Private sector don't pay proper salary to teachers and whether that too is disbursed on time.
It has rarely been seen that the dental council of india/ university or state government cross checks from the bank statements of the staff that proper emoluments have been disbursed.
Another sad matter is the blackmail and arm twisting of dental teachers by managements and the constant threat that they issue" We will fire you and hire someone else."
The matter of welfare and seeking our rights clearly lies in our own hands so let's all get together and create our own association which is the need of the hour.
Kindly keep sending your valuable suggestions and comments so that soon we may formally launch our own website and rules and regulations. Kindly share with all of the dental faculty in India so we can have a pan India association.
Friends from other walks of life are welcome to guide and comment as they seem fit.
Best wishes
Jai Hind
