Fruitastic Learning Day
Our UKG little stars celebrated Fruitastic Learning Day (20–21 April 2026) with great excitement. They spoke a few simple lines about their favourite fruits, using cute props and real fruits.
Their cheerful expressions, confident voices, and vibrant presentations made the event truly delightful.
The activity encouraged self-expression, stage confidence, and awareness about healthy eating habits.

A biotechnology hands-on training workshop at Khalsa College was organised for XII SCIENCE students which was a very enriching experience. They learnt about fermentation biology and were introduced to bioinformatics through in-silico analysis. They used tools like NCBI and PDB to study the structure of the Stx2 protein from E. coli. The hands-on sessions included performing serial dilution of soil samples, observing microbial colonies, and estimating their count while sterlizing them in laminar air flow chamber. The teachers explained concepts very clearly, and Dr.Alla Singh sir , scientist at ICAR-IIMAR made the sessions highly engaging. Overall, this training provided valuable practical exposure beyond classroom learning.

World Book Day Celebration – UKG
To celebrate World Book Day, a joyful and engaging library visit was organized for the UKG students. The children visited the school library section-wise, where each class was given dedicated time to explore a variety of colorful and age-appropriate books.
The highlight of the activity was a story sequencing and narration session. Students were guided to arrange picture cards in the correct order to form a meaningful story. With the support of their teachers, they enthusiastically narrated the stories in their own words, enhancing their creativity, language skills, and confidence.
The activity aimed to develop a love for reading among young learners while strengthening their comprehension and speaking abilities. It was a delightful learning experience that encouraged imagination and active participation.

Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana Participates in GYAAN UTSAV – Book Donation Drive
With the collaborative efforts of the Municipal Corporation Ludhiana, Helping Hands NGO, and City Needs Organization, Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana actively participated in GYAAN UTSAV – Book Donation Drive, aimed at spreading the light of education among the underprivileged.
The event was graced by Jasdev Singh Sekhon, Zonal Commissioner, Municipal Corporation; Maneet Diwan, Founder, City Needs; Raman Goyal, Founder President, Helping Hands Club; and Shashi Bhushan Goyal, General Secretary, Helping Hands Club, who appreciated the initiative during their visit to the school and interaction with the Principal, Dr. Anu Verma.
Students and teachers contributed wholeheartedly by donating NCERT books and valuable study material, reflecting the spirit of compassion, sharing, and social responsibility.
GYAAN UTSAV not only promoted the culture of giving but also reinforced the belief that even a small contribution can open doors to knowledge and create a lasting impact on young minds.

*Earth Day Assembly Celebration* 🌱

Police DAV Public School celebrated Earth Day with great enthusiasm and meaningful learning. The assembly of class I began with our young students confidently presenting thoughtful lines and a beautiful poem, reminding everyone of the importance of caring for our planet.

A special highlight was a powerful Story enactment by our teachers, delivering a strong message against throwing waste on land and in water. The act sensitively highlighted how pollution harms our environment, especially marine life, and inspired everyone to take responsibility for protecting our seas and surroundings.

The assembly concluded with an insightful address by our respected Principal ma’am, who emphasized the importance of the 3 R’s — *Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle* — as simple yet effective steps towards building a cleaner, greener Earth.

Ludhiana, April 20, 2026: Police DAV Public School, Civil Lines, Ludhiana, organized a Fictional Story Writing Competition on the occasion of World Book Day. The event was conducted in the school library by the library department and witnessed enthusiastic participation from students of Classes V to XII.
Students showcased remarkable creativity, originality, and expressive writing skills. The entries were judged on the basis of creativity, accuracy, originality, expression, and moral value.

लुधियाना, 20 अप्रैल, 2026: पुलिस डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल, सिविल लाइंस, लुधियाना ने विश्व पुस्तक दिवस के अवसर पर एक काल्पनिक कहानी लेखन प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया। यह प्रतियोगिता स्कूल पुस्तकालय में पुस्तकालय विभाग द्वारा आयोजित की गई और इसमें कक्षा 5 से 12 तक के विद्यार्थियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।
विद्यार्थियों ने उल्लेखनीय रचनात्मकता, मौलिकता और अभिव्यंजक लेखन कौशल का प्रदर्शन किया। प्रविष्टियों का मूल्यांकन रचनात्मकता, सटीकता, मौलिकता, अभिव्यक्ति और नैतिक मूल्यों के आधार पर किया गया।

An interesting and creative Newspaper Front Cover Page Making Competition named ‘PDAV PULSE’ was conducted for the students of XI and XII Political Science classes. The activity aimed to enhance students’ awareness of current affairs, creativity, and presentation skills.
Students of both classes enthusiastically participated by designing attractive newspaper front pages with eye-catching headlines. They covered topics such as politics, environment, education, social issues, sports, and international affairs.
The competition was judged by Mr. Sameer Sood from the Science Department, who appreciated the students for their hard work, originality, and thoughtful presentation. After careful evaluation, First Prize and Second Prize were announced separately for both Plus One and Plus Two classes.
The activity proved to be highly engaging and informative. It encouraged students to think like journalists, stay updated with current events, and present information in an innovative manner.

The first day of Dance Week, organized to commemorate International Dance Day 2026, was celebrated today in the school multipurpose hall with great zeal, joy, and enthusiasm.

The Dance Faculty of the school has taken a wonderful initiative to extend the celebrations this year by organizing a full week of activities involving students from different classes.

On the opening day, students of Class III & IV actively participated and added vibrant energy to the celebration, making it a delightful and memorable start to the Dance Week.

The exhibition-cum-presentation formed the core of the event, where students showcased remarkable creativity and understanding. A range of functional stalls featuring vocabulary and grammar-based games engaged visitors in interactive learning, making language acquisition both enjoyable and meaningful.
A key highlight was the chronological display of the evolution of English—from Old English to the Modern Period—presented through informative charts, models, and confident explanations by students.
The cultural segment added vibrancy with melodious songs, expressive voice presentations, graceful dance performances, and an insightful PPT emphasizing the global significance of English as a medium of communication and knowledge.
The programme reflected a perfect blend of intellect and creativity, leaving a lasting impression. The Principal, Dr. Anu Verma, appreciated the sincere efforts of students and teachers in making the celebration enriching and memorable.

World Earth Day Celebration at Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana

Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana celebrated World Earth Day with great enthusiasm, spreading a strong message of environmental responsibility. The event commenced with the plantation of a sapling in the school garden, symbolizing a collective commitment towards a greener and healthier planet.
On this occasion, the students of Class VI visited the Rose Garden, where they actively participated in various awareness activities. They presented a thought-provoking nukkad natak highlighting the importance of protecting the environment. This was followed by a melodious song conveying the message of nature conservation.
An oath-taking ceremony was also conducted, during which students pledged to adopt eco-friendly practices and contribute towards safeguarding the Earth.
The entire event was thoughtfully organized by the Eco Club with the aim of instilling a sense of responsibility and love for nature among students.The celebration concluded on a motivating note with the Principal applauding the sincere efforts of the students and the Eco Club. The Principal appreciated their creativity and active participation in spreading awareness about environmental conservation, and encouraged everyone to continue adopting eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.

पुलिस डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल, लुधियाना ने विश्व पृथ्वी दिवस को बड़े उत्साह के साथ मनाकर पर्यावरण के प्रति जिम्मेदारी का सशक्त संदेश फैलाया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ विद्यालय के उद्यान में एक पौधा लगाने के साथ हुआ, जो एक हरित और स्वस्थ पृथ्वी के प्रति सामूहिक प्रतिबद्धता का प्रतीक था।
इस अवसर पर, कक्षा VI के विद्यार्थियों ने रोज़ गार्डन का दौरा किया, जहाँ उन्होंने विभिन्न जागरूकता गतिविधियों में सक्रिय रूप से भाग लिया। उन्होंने पर्यावरण संरक्षण के महत्व को उजागर करते हुए एक विचारोत्तेजक नुक्कड़ नाटक प्रस्तुत किया। इसके बाद प्रकृति संरक्षण का संदेश देने वाला एक मधुर गीत प्रस्तुत किया गया।
शपथ ग्रहण समारोह भी आयोजित किया गया, जिसमें विद्यार्थियों ने पर्यावरण के अनुकूल प्रथाओं को अपनाने और पृथ्वी की रक्षा में योगदान देने का संकल्प लिया।
यह संपूर्ण कार्यक्रम इको क्लब द्वारा विद्यार्थियों में प्रकृति के प्रति जिम्मेदारी और प्रेम की भावना पैदा करने के उद्देश्य से सुविचारित ढंग से आयोजित किया गया था। प्रधानाच‌र्या द्वारा विद्यार्थियों और इको क्लब के ईमानदार प्रयासों की सराहना के साथ समारोह का समापन प्रेरणादायक ढंग से हुआ। प्रधानाचार्या जी ने पर्यावरण संरक्षण के बारे में जागरूकता फैलाने में उनकी रचनात्मकता और सक्रिय भागीदारी की सराहना की ।

ਪੁਲਿਸ ਡੀ.ਏ.ਵੀ. ਪਬਲਿਕ ਸਕੂਲ, ਪੁਲਿਸ ਲਾਈਨ, ਸਿਵਲ ਲਾਈਨਜ਼, ਲੁਧਿਆਣਾ ਨੇ ਵਿਸ਼ਵ ਧਰਤੀ ਦਿਵਸ ਬੜੇ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹ ਨਾਲ ਮਨਾਇਆ। ਇਸ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਦੀ ਸ਼ੁਰੂਆਤ ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਬਗ਼ੀਚੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਇੱਕ ਪੌਦਾ ਲਗਾਉਣ ਨਾਲ ਹੋਈ, ਜੋ ਕਿ ਇੱਕ ਹਰੇ-ਭਰੇ ਅਤੇ ਸਿਹਤਮੰਦ ਗ੍ਰਹਿ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਸਮੂਹਿਕ ਵਚਨਬੱਧਤਾ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਤੀਕ ਹੈ। ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ 'ਤੇ ਛੇਵੀਂ ਜਮਾਤ ਦੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਰੋਜ਼ ਗਾਰਡਨ ਦਾ ਦੌਰਾ ਕੀਤਾ, ਜਿੱਥੇ ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਗਤੀਵਿਧੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮੀ ਨਾਲ ਹਿੱਸਾ ਲਿਆ। ਉਨ੍ਹਾਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਦੀ ਮਹੱਤਤਾ ਨੂੰ ਉਜਾਗਰ ਕਰਦੇ ਹੋਏ, ਇੱਕ ਸੋਚ-ਉਕਸਾਊ ਨੁੱਕੜ ਨਾਟਕ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ। ਇਸ ਤੋਂ ਬਾਅਦ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਦੀ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਦਾ ਸੰਦੇਸ਼ ਦੇਣ ਵਾਲਾ ਇੱਕ ਸੁਰੀਲਾ ਗੀਤ ਪੇਸ਼ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਇੱਕ ਸਹੁੰ ਚੁੱਕ ਸਮਾਰੋਹ ਵੀ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ, ਜਿਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ-ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਅਭਿਆਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾਉਣ ਅਤੇ ਧਰਤੀ ਦੀ ਰੱਖਿਆ ਵਿੱਚ ਯੋਗਦਾਨ ਪਾਉਣ ਦਾ ਪ੍ਰਣ ਲਿਆ। ਪੂਰਾ ਸਮਾਗਮ ਈਕੋ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਕੁਦਰਤ ਪ੍ਰਤੀ ਜ਼ਿੰਮੇਵਾਰੀ ਅਤੇ ਪਿਆਰ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਪੈਦਾ ਕਰਨ ਦੇ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨਾਲ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਗਿਆ। ਸਕੂਲ ਦੇ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਸ੍ਰੀਮਤੀ ਅਨੂ ਵਰਮਾ ਜੀ ਨੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਈਕੋ ਕਲੱਬ ਦੇ ਸੁਹਿਰਦ ਯਤਨਾਂ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਸਿਰਜਣਾਤਮਕਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ ਸੰਭਾਲ ਬਾਰੇ ਜਾਗਰੂਕਤਾ ਫੈਲਾਉਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਰਗਰਮ ਭਾਗੀਦਾਰੀ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਸਾਰਿਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੇ ਰੋਜ਼ਾਨਾ ਜੀਵਨ ਵਿੱਚ ਵਾਤਾਵਰਨ-ਅਨੁਕੂਲ ਅਭਿਆਸਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਅਪਣਾਉਂਦੇ ਰਹਿਣ ਲਈ ਉਤਸ਼ਾਹਤ ਕੀਤਾ।

Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana Organises Educational Visit to Museum of Social History and Rural Life of Punjab

The students of the Community Service Club of Police DAV Public School, Ludhiana, visited the Museum of Social History and Rural Life of Punjab at Punjab Agricultural University as part of an educational excursion.
The visit aimed to connect classroom learning with Punjab’s rich cultural heritage. Students gained first-hand insight into the state’s social and agrarian past, observing traditional farming tools like the rahat and old ploughs, and understanding their evolution into modern machinery.
They also explored exhibits of traditional kitchenware, Phulkari textiles, and musical instruments such as the sarangi and algoza, which helped them visualise rural life and appreciate regional craftsmanship.
The visit served as a meaningful learning experience, fostering awareness, appreciation, and respect for Punjab’s cultural roots.
