The foundation stone was laid by Sant Baba Kundan Singh Ji Kaleran Wala (Nanaksar). School is an English medium school Affiliated to Central Board of Secondary Education, New Delhi and follows the syllabus and books prescribed by it up to +2 classes. It is ideally situated in a

open and pollution free environment, spread over 2 acres of land. The school building is tastefully designed. It has well furnished airy and well maintained class rooms, Laboratories and activity rooms. There is ample of open space and the school has green lawns and a play field. The formative pre-primary years at SGHP provide joyful experience for tiny tots. The separate KinderGarten wing imbibes multiple qualities in children. The school aims at to raise the achievement of all the students in acedemics and sports and to promote moral and ethical values among all. It also promotes globally competition, high-tech and environment friendly education and Inculcates higher values of universal brotherhood, renunciation and truthful living as enunciated by the great Sixth Guru, Sri Guru Hargobind Sahib Ji. गुरुद्वारों में सुबह के समय गुरु की ओर से मिलने वाले ज्ञान को हुकमनामा कहा जाता है। यह गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब से चुना जाता है। सुबह के समय तय न‍ियमों के अनुसार गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब को खोला जाता है। इस क्र‍िया को प्रकाश सेवा कहते हैं। इसके बाद गुरु ग्रंथ साहिब का कोई भी पेज खोला जाता है। इस पर आने वाला पहला शब्‍द (वाक्‍य) उस द‍िन की गुरु जी की ओर से श‍िक्षा बनता है। इस श‍िक्षा को हुकमनामा कहा गया है और स‍िख पूरा द‍िन इस पर व‍िचार करते हैं और इसे अमल में लाते हैं।

गुरु ग्रन्थ साहिब जी का पहला प्रकाश 16 अगस्त 1604 को हरिमंदिर साहिब अमृतसर में हुआ। यही हरिमंदिर साहिब अब स्‍वर्ण मंद‍िर यानी गोल्‍डन टेंपल के नाम से मशहूर है और यहां मत्‍था टेकने के लिए विदेशों से भी लोग पूरी भक्‍ति के साथ आते हैं। यहां आना लंगर छकने के बिना अधूरा माना जाता है जहां सभी भेदभाव मिटाकर सभी पंगत में बैठकर गुरु के घर का प्रसाद ग्रहण करते हैं।
