A Decade of Suffering Relieved Through Advanced Minimally Invasive Venous Surgery

Mr. Sunny Dogra, 36 years old, had been battling painful, dilated, and tortuous varicose veins of his left lower limb for nearly a decade. His condition was further complicated by a chronic infected venous ulcer near the ankle that had persisted for the last two years, significantly affecting his daily life and mobility.

Despite seeking treatment at multiple healthcare facilities, he was unable to obtain lasting relief. Upon evaluation at CMC Hospital, he was diagnosed with advanced chronic venous disease (CEAP Classification: C6, Ep, As, Pr).

A structured treatment plan was initiated with comprehensive ulcer management using the Bisgaard regimen, resulting in successful healing of the chronic wound. This was followed by definitive treatment using state-of-the-art minimally invasive venous interventions, including Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA), stab avulsion, and ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy.

The procedure was completed successfully with excellent clinical results. The patient made an uneventful recovery, was ambulatory within hours of the procedure, and was discharged the very next day in a stable and satisfactory condition.

This case highlights how modern minimally invasive vascular techniques can transform the lives of patients suffering from advanced varicose veins and chronic venous ulcers, offering faster recovery, minimal discomfort, and outstanding outcomes.
