🇮🇳 DRUG-FREE INDIA PLEDGE | SAY YES TO LIFE, NO TO DRUGS

In a meaningful endeavour to strengthen awareness and commitment towards a Drug-Free India, students of Grades VI–XII at VELS Global School, Ludhiana, in collaboration with Brahma Kumaris, participated in the Drug-Free India Pledge.

The initiative aligns with the Government of India’s Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan, led by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, which seeks to build a healthier and drug-free society through awareness, community participation and collective responsibility.

Through the pledge, our students resolved to stay away from harmful and intoxicating substances and to encourage others to make healthy, responsible and informed choices. The collaboration with Brahma Kumaris further reinforced the importance of self-discipline, positive values and a healthy lifestyle in empowering young minds.

The initiative served as a powerful reminder that a drug-free India begins with aware, empowered and responsible citizens.

🌱 EK PED MAA KE NAAM | HONOURING MOTHERHOOD, NURTURING NATURE 🌱

Inspired by the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” campaign launched by Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, VELS Global School, Ludhiana took a meaningful step towards environmental conservation and honouring the invaluable bond of motherhood.

As part of the initiative, free saplings were distributed in the School, encouraging students and members of the school community to plant and nurture trees in the name of their mothers. Each sapling symbolised love, gratitude, responsibility and a commitment to a greener tomorrow.

The initiative sensitised our young learners to the importance of caring for nature and reinforced the message that every tree planted and nurtured today contributes to a healthier and more sustainable future. 🌿

🏫 VELS Global School witnessed a vibrant and enriching Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM), complemented by an engaging Book Fair 📚, creating a wonderful platform for meaningful interaction, learning, and community participation. 🤝

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 The PTM provided an invaluable opportunity for parents and teachers to come together as partners in education, reflecting upon students’ academic progress, strengths, areas of improvement, and overall development. The enthusiastic participation of parents made the interaction purposeful and positive.

📖Adding to the spirit of the day was the Book Fair, which offered students and parents an exciting opportunity to explore a diverse and thoughtfully curated collection of books. दिनांक 14 सितंबर को विद्यालय में हिंदी दिवस बड़े उत्साह एवं उल्लास के साथ मनाया गया। विद्यार्थियों में हिंदी भाषा के प्रति प्रेम, सम्मान एवं गौरव की भावना विकसित करने हेतु विभिन्न रोचक एवं रचनात्मक गतिविधियों का आयोजन किया गया।

📝 स्लोगन लेखन एवं निबंध लेखन प्रतियोगिता में कक्षा III एवं IV के विद्यार्थियों ने सुंदर एवं प्रेरणादायक स्लोगन तथा कक्षा V के विद्यार्थियों ने हिंदी भाषा के महत्व पर रचनात्मक निबंध प्रस्तुत किए।

🧠 हिंदी क्विज़ के माध्यम से विद्यार्थियों ने हिंदी व्याकरण, साहित्य एवं शब्दावली से जुड़े प्रश्नों में उत्साहपूर्वक भाग लिया।

🎤 विद्यार्थियों द्वारा भाषण, कविता एवं प्रेरणादायक विचार प्रस्तुत किए गए। साथ ही सभी ने हिंदी भाषा के सम्मान, संरक्षण एवं प्रचार-प्रसार हेतु हिंदी प्रतिज्ञा ली।
