B.C.M. College organised Farewell Function titled Jashan- E-Rukhsat 2026’ for the students of the outgoing batch (2024-2026) in the college campus on May 2, 2026. Dr. Prem Kumar Secretary College Managing Committee graced the occasion and highlighted the relevance of enhancing knowledge and skills in the present fast paced era of endless opportunities and encouraged them to chisel their skills to face challenges of the future world of work. Speaking
on the occasion, Dr. Monika Dua congratulated the students for the successful completion of the course and inspired them to always be punctual, disciplined and follow the path of righteousness . The day was jampacked with many powerful performances like bhangra,
songs and dances by enthusiastic BCMites. The students decked up in awesome costumes showcased their talent on stage. Winners of ramp walk were conferred different titles by a panel of judges. Ms. Jahnvi was declared "Miss Farewell" while Mr. Nikhil was declared "Mr. Farewell". Ms. Anmol was adorned with the tilte "Miss Smiling Angel" while Mr. Damanjot was given the title of ‘Mr. Prince Charming’ . Mr. Om Prakash and Ms. Taranveer were adorned with the title of ‘Best Attire’. Mr. Ayush was titled Mr. Decent and Ms. Rajni was adorned with the title ‘Ms. Fitness’. Last but not the least Mr. Kannav was given the title of ‘Mr. Swag’ while Ms. Vandana was conferred with the title ‘Queen of Elegance’.

Shabashiyaan 2026 at BCM College
Fervour, enthusiasm and cheer filled the atmosphere of BCM College as the Annual Prize Distribution Ceremony ‘Shabashiyaan 2026’ unfolded on the college campus. The programme commenced with a warm welcome and annual report
presentation by Principal Dr. Monika Dua. Dr. Prem Kumar, Secretary, College Managing Committee graced the occasion with his benign presence. In his inspiring address, Dr. Prem Kumar urged the students to dream ambitiously and pursue those dreams with unwavering dedication. He emphasized the transformative power of self-belief and faith in achieving success. The function witnessed the felicitation of merit holders in academics along with winners of diverse competitions — Panjab University Zonal and Inter-Zonal Skill-in-Teaching, On-the-Spot Teaching Aids Preparation, Youth and Heritage Festival, P.U. Sports Competitions, and Inter-
College Contests (2025–26). Adding vibrancy to the occasion, BCMites presented a colourful cultural programme featuring a soulful song by Ms. Nikhil, a thought- provoking poem by Ms. Sakshi and an energetic Punjabi folk dance by Ms. Prerna
and group. On the whole, Shabashiyaan 2026 emerged as a power-packed celebration, weaving together hues of talent, frolic and applause.

Skill Enhancement Programme 2026
A week long Skill Enhancement Programme 2026 concluded
successfully at B.C.M. College of Education. This programme
was organised from April 15-21, 2026 with a solemn aim to
foster Communication, Employability and Life Skills among
the students of the outgoing batch. The valedictory function
began with the lamp lighting ceremony and recital of Gaytri
Manta. Er. Shilpa Miglani, Master trainer from Mahindra
Group was the Resource Person for the Programme. During
the valedictory function, students shared their reflections and
an AV Presentation was showcased highlighting the
significant happenings of the programme. In order to boost the
morale of the students, eight best participants were felicitated
by Naandi Foundation. Addressing the students, Er. Shilpa
emphasised the importance of Skills for future teachers in the
21st century of Technology driven world.Principal Dr.
Monika Dua congratulated Dr. Jasdeep Kaur, Skill
Enhancement Cell Incharge for coordinating the whole event.

NSS Wing of BCM College under the aegis of Youth Services, Punjab celebrated World Health Day on the theme “Together for Health – Stand with Science.” The celebration sought to cultivate student‑teachers as exemplars of healthy living, inspiring balanced nutrition, active exercise and resilient mental well‑being.On this occasion, Dr. Ramandeep Arora delivered an insightful Extension Lecture, illuminating the multifaceted dimensions of health—physical, mental, social, and environmental—through an engaging and informative PowerPoint presentation. All the faculty members and students took a pledge, urging all to prioritize holistic wellness by embracing healthier habits and fostering community well‑being. Principal Dr. Monika Dua commended the dedicated efforts of NSS Officers Mrs. Manjit Kaur and Dr. Amita Khosla, congratulating them for steering the event to resounding success and meaningful impact.

Under the aegis of Punjab University Chandigarh, NSS Wing in collaboration with Eco Club of B.C.M. College of Education organised Environmental Education Programme (EEP) from
March 18-31, 2026. The solemn aim of EEP was to sensitise the young future teachers and raise awareness about vital environmental issues and encourage global action through varied pedagogical initiatives. Various activities were arranged on sustainable lifestyle aimed at motivating young student teachers to think critically and develop appreciation for natural environment.

The Valedictory Function of the 17th NSS Camp, themed “Viksit Bharat and Drug-Free Society”, was held on March 30, 2026. The solemn occasion was graced by Mrs. Binita Jhanji, Vice Principal and Head of the Department of English, Govt. College Ludhiana East, and Dr. Prem Kumar, Secretary of the College Managing Committee. The concluding ceremony of the week-long camp commenced with the ceremonial lighting of the lamp, accompanied by the recital of the sacred Gayatri Mantra. Mr. Lakshay captivated the gathering with a devotional presentation of Ganesh Vandana. In her inspiring address, Mrs. Binita applauded NSS Volunteers and kindled the spirit of selfless service, urging the young BCMites to contribute meaningfully to the lives of those around them.The agile BCMites enlivened the atmosphere with their creative expressions—reciting poems, singing melodious songs, performing graceful dances and staging an Ad Mad Show along with a
thought-provoking Nukkad Naatak. Ms. Jasneet shared her enriching experiences of the 17th NSS Camp, while Ms. Anmol presented an engaging audio-visual, adding vibrancy to the event. Addressing the audience, Dr. Prem Kumar exhorted the
volunteers to embody the NSS motto “Not Me, But You” and dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to social service. He emphasized the relevance of NSS camps in nurturing life skills such as teamwork, fraternity, and empathy. Certificates were
awarded to the winners of various competitions organized during the camp, acknowledging their talent and dedication.
