The NSS Wing, in collaboration with the Social Sciences Club of BCM College, proudly celebrated the 80th Independence Day—an occasion to honor the supreme sacrifices of freedom fighters and to rejoice in the birth of a sovereign nation. Under the Har Ghar Tiranga programme, students distributed the Tricolor in the neighboring residential areas, spreading the message of solidarity, unity and national pride among the localites. Demonstration of Macro Lesson by Alumni (July 28, 2026)

Ms. Khushi Sood Alumni of the college, batch 2024-26 demonstrated lessons to the students of B.Ed. Sem. III to give them the essence of ways and means of teaching. She delivered a lesson of Pedagogy of Commerce on the topic – ‘Sales Promotion’. Observations of the lesson helped pupil teachers to prepare and teach lesson effectively. Ms. Kanwalpreet Kaur and Ms. Gagandeep Kaur coordinated the whole activity.

BCM College, Ludhiana, organized an enlightening Session on‘ Teaching Strategies' graced by the presence of the distinguished Resource Person, Dr. Kusum Lata, National Awardee and Former Principal, Govt. Senior Secondary School, Sarabha Nagar, Ludhiana on July 27, 2026. The session commenced with the Lamp Lighting Ceremony, with the soulful recitation of the Gayatri Mantra, setting a serene and auspicious tone. Dr. Lata delivered a thought-provoking discourse on Teaching Strategies emphasizing the relevance of science in our daily life. She demonstrated
the activities Bernoulli's principle, an optic box experiment, Newton's Law, gamification, centre of mass activities, centre of gravity, persistence of vision, transfer of energy. periscope for
reflection of light, double cone experiment, surface tension activity, atmospheric pressure, real and inverted image and many more.
Drawing examples from real-life, she urged the audience to embrace their role as curious minds, harnessing science for societal welfare. Her address was marked by liveliness, interactivity and intellectual depth, leaving the audience inspired and reflective. Principal Dr. Monika Dua extended heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Kusumlata, resource person for her inspiring and lively workshop.

BCM College Students Excel in in P.U. B.Ed. Results-
Clinch First and Fifth Positions

B.C.M. College Students have once again brought laurels to
the institution with their outstanding performance in the Panjab
University B.Ed. Results (2024–26).
Ms. Apneet Kaur created history by securing the First Position
in Panjab University B.Ed. results with an exceptional 90.38%
marks. Adding another feather to the college, Ms.
Harmandeep Kaur bagged the Fifth Position in the University
Merit List with 89.13% marks. Mr. Ayush attained the Third
Position in the college with 88.56% marks, while Ms. Adiba
Khatoon stood Fourth with 88.13% marks. The results reflect
the institution's consistent pursuit of academic excellence, with
60 students scoring above 80% and 50 students securing 70-
79% marks. Expressing immense pride over this remarkable
achievement, BCM College Management congratulated
Principal, faculty members and students for their hard work,
dedication and exceptional performance.

BCM College celebrated International Yoga Day

The NSS Wing of BCM College of Education, in collaboration with Patanjali Yoga Peeth, celebrated 12th International Yoga Day at Rakhbagh with the noble aim of sensitising young future teachers to adopt a healthy lifestyle and cultivating educators who champion health and holistic living. Enthusiastic BMCites performed a series of invigorating Asanas including Brahma Rai, Anulom Vilom, Masook Asana, Hasya Asana, Om Chanting, Surya Namaskar, meditation, and stretching exercises that harmonised body, mind and spirit during this Yoga Mahautsav.In the serene hours of the morning, student‑teachers participated wholeheartedly, embodying the spirit of discipline and wellness that yoga instills. Principal Dr. Monika Dua applauded the dedicated efforts of NSS Wing Incharges Ms. Manjit Kaur and Dr. Amita Khosla for coordinating the activity.

Saplings of herbal plants such as Haldi, Tulsi, Kadi Patta and Sadabahar were distributed among residents symbolizing both health and sustainability.
