The college was established at Gujranwala ( now in Pakistan) in 1917 and its foundation stone was laid by Sikh Divine Saint Sant Attar Singh Ji. Since its inception GGNIMT has a tradition of academic excellence with GGNIMT'ians securing university positions in every semester. GGNIMT also encourages its students to participate in extra-curricular activities organised by university & other institutions. This arrangement has made it possible to GGNIMT'ians to win accolades at various levels.
