3. Who chaired the 49th PRAGATI Meeting?
Ans. PM Narendra Modi on 24th September, 2025 chaired the 49th meeting of PRAGATI (an ICT-enabled multi-modal platform designed for Pro-Active Governance and Timely Implementation) to fast-track ₹65,000 crore worth infrastructure projects across 15 States and UTs, urging swift, result-oriented ex*****on.
This initiative connects the Centre and States, aiming to fast-track key development projects, resolve bottlenecks efficiently, and ensure on-time delivery of public assets. At this latest session, the Prime Minister reviewed eight major infrastructure projects in sectors such as Mines, Railways, Water Resources, Industrial Corridors, and Power.

Project Overview:-
The Prime Minister reviewed eight large-scale infrastructure projects that collectively represent a Rs. 65,000 crore investment. These projects are spread across 15 States and UTs, touching diverse geographical and socio-economic regions. The sectors include:-

- Mining projects aimed at boosting resource efficiency
- Railway infrastructure to improve connectivity and logistics
- Water resource projects to enhance irrigation and urban supply
- Industrial corridors to facilitate manufacturing and exports
- Power sector initiatives to meet growing energy demands
