Death: 02 Jan 2004 in Jammu, Jammu & Kashmir, India
Indian army officer (2001: JAK LI), he led the Quick Reaction Team to the railway station, which was under attack by terrorists dressed in Army fatigues, killed two militants, and saved the lives of many innocent civilians who had taken refuge in the luggage-room, before he was KIA. His father received the Ashok Chakra (posthumous) on 26 Jan 2004, from President APJ Abdul Kalam.

His marriage was fixed for 10th March.
Parents wanted him to be a farmer, and take care of their 40 acre farm-land, but destiny made him a National Hero.
