The 7-Day NSS Camp, inaugurated on January 6, 2025, concluded successfully on January 12, 2025. Centered around the theme โ€œAwakening Youth for My Bharat,โ€ the camp aimed to sensitize volunteers about their responsibilities towards the community. A range of activities took place, including outreach programs in the adopted villages of Jhande. Awareness rallies addressing digital scams and environmental protection were organized in these villages.
Volunteers also visited โ€œGuru Amardas Ashram,โ€ fostering empathy and encouraging active participation in initiatives promoting inclusivity. With great enthusiasm, they distributed milk, tea, biscuits, and rusks to patients at Shri Krishna Charitable Hospital, ESI Hospital, and to the local community. Fitness drills and cycle rallies were held regularly to promote health and well-being among the volunteers. Furthermore, several sessions were conducted to awaken and educate the youth about their societal and national responsibilities.
The theme of the camp was effectively reflected through the various youth-focused activities. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar applauded the NSS team for the camp's successful ex*****on and remarked that the event exemplified the NSS motto, "Not Me, But You."

Persisting with unwavering zeal and enthusiasm in alignment with the overarching theme of โ€œSelfless Serviceโ€ during the 7-Day NSS Camp, the volunteers were poised to contribute meaningfully to a noble cause benefiting society. On the sixth day of the seven-day NSS camp at Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management the college organized visits to civil hospitals in three different locations. The NSS team was divided into three groups, each assigned to a specific hospital: ESI hospital, Civil Hospital Chandigarh Road, and Krishna Charitable Hospital, Model Town. Recognizing the financial challenges faced by many, the NSS team was delighted to contribute to helping those in need. The volunteers, filled with enthusiasm, distributed milk, tea, biscuits, and rusks to both patients within the hospitals and the surrounding civilian population. This initiative aimed to assist individuals who couldnโ€™t afford medical expenses or even basic sustenance. The entire activity reflected the studentโ€™s zeal and commitment to social service, resulting in a successful and impactful event. Principal Prof (Dr) Vishal Kumar appreciated the studentsโ€™ kindness and further asserted that the event vividly embodied the NSS motto: โ€œNot Me But You.โ€

The NSS Camp focused on fostering physical and mental well-being while inspiring youth to contribute to nation-building. The day began with an invigorating fitness drill led by the college sports faculty, promoting physical health and energy among the volunteers. This was followed by a thought-provoking session titled Awakening Youth for My Bharat, where the speaker Mr. Vishwas Vaid, who has represented India in International Youth Festival, held in Russia, delved into the teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The discussion emphasized the power of youth in shaping the nation, the importance of self-discipline, and the relevance of Swami Vivekananda's philosophy in today's world. The day concluded with a calming meditation session, allowing the volunteers to reflect on the lessons of the day while fostering inner peace and focus. The activities of the day inspired the participants to lead a balanced life, rooted in physical fitness, mental clarity, and a sense of responsibility toward the nation. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar applauded the efforts of the NSS unit, encouraging students to embody the values of fitness, mindfulness, and dedication to national progress.

The NSS Camp aimed to sensitize students to the struggles of life and foster a sense of empathy and humanity. As part of this effort, the NSS unit visited Guru Amardas Handicapped and Old Age Home, which was established on August 23, 2005. This home continues its mission of providing care and support to disabled, mentally ill, homeless, terminally ill, blind, deaf, and mute individuals. During the visit, the volunteers donated food, ration, woollen clothes, fruits, dry fruits, and other necessities to aid the residents. The students also learned about the inspiration behind the home's name, the motivation to establish it, and its remarkable journey from inception to its current impact. This visit offered a profound understanding of the challenges faced by the elderly and differently abled, reinforcing the importance of respecting and valuing our elders. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar commended the volunteers' efforts, encouraging them to spend meaningful time with the elderly and draw wisdom from their experiences.

The NSS camp was dedicated to environmental awareness and action. The day began with an energetic cycle rally from Rakh Bagh and Punjab Agricultural University (PAU) to Govind Go Dham, promoting eco-friendly transportation and fitness. Upon returning, the NSS volunteers conducted a cleanliness drive at Rakh Bagh, enthusiastically collecting litter and ensuring the area was restored to its pristine condition. Alongside the drive, the NSS volunteers conducted a march to spread awareness about the importance of maintaining a clean and green environment by encouraging sustainable practices. The day's activities reflected the volunteers' commitment to fostering a healthier planet and inspiring others to do the same. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar encouraged the volunteers and applauded their dedication towards the societal work.

The NSS camp was observed as Health and Fitness Day, beginning with a serene prayer session that set a positive tone for the day's activities. The day featured an enlightening session on blood and organ donation, conducted by Dr. Aikaj Jindal from Oswal Hospital. Dr. Jindal emphasized the life-saving potential of blood and organ donation, engaging students in an interactive talk about blood groups, universal donors and recipients, and the key doโ€™s and donโ€™ts of donation. NSS volunteers took an oath to donate blood and organs and pledged to inspire their peers to do the same.
Following the session, the college sports faculty, Mr. Inderpreet Singh Saini, led a fitness drill comprising exercises, running, and stretching to promote physical well-being. The final segment of the day featured a session on life-saving CPR techniques by Dr. Aaditya Kapoor, who trained the volunteers on administering CPR to save lives during cardiac emergencies. He also raised awareness about misleading CPR techniques circulating on social media, cautioning volunteers that improper methods could prove fatal.
Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar commended the efforts of the team and volunteers, encouraging them to embrace these essential life-saving skills. The day concluded on a positive note, leaving the participants inspired and better prepared to contribute to society in times of need.

On January 6, 2025, the NSS Unit of Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management commenced its 7-day NSS Camp with great enthusiasm. The camp was inaugurated by the esteemed Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, who inspired the students to enhance their social quotient by actively participating in community service. He emphasized the significance of selfless service and its role in shaping responsible citizens.
The day began with a serene and soulful prayer, seeking blessings from the Almighty, setting a spiritual tone for the camp. The NSS volunteers were meticulously divided into various committees to ensure the seamless organization and ex*****on of the diverse activities planned for the week.
The theme for Day 1 was dedicated to the life and teachings of the revered Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji. NSS Programme Coordinator, Ms. Veenu Verma, addressed the students, shedding light on the profound messages of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Jiโ€™s Hukamnama. She passionately recounted Guru jiโ€™s unparalleled sacrifices for humanity and his unwavering commitment to justice, equality, and compassion.
The students actively participated in discussions and watched a captivating documentary beautifully highlighting his journey as a beacon of inspiration, instilling in the students the timeless virtues of courage, selflessness, and unwavering dedication to noble causes. The students reverently recited the Sukhmani Sahib Path to honour and celebrate the profound legacy and wisdom of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji.
The day concluded with the volunteers strategizing their roles for the coming days, fostering teamwork and leadership. The camp promises to be a transformative journey, imbued with learning, service, and spiritual growth, leaving an indelible impact on every participant.

Sri Aurobindo College of Commerce and Management organized a Poster Making and Poem Recitation Competition to honour the sacrifices of our nation's heroes, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, Shaheed Sukhdev, and Shaheed Rajguru. The theme for both competitions was "Essence of Patriotism," aiming to commemorate the unwavering spirit of these freedom fighters and instill a profound sense of patriotism among the participants.
A total of 20 students registered for both the competitions, with Pavit Pawan Kaur and Diya Aggarwal being declared winners for Poster Making and Prabhgun Kaur, Roohbani Kaur, Eestha Aggarwal for the Poem Recitation Competition.
The Principal, Prof. (Dr.) Vishal Kumar, commended the efforts of the participants and congratulated the winners of both competitions. He remarked that the competitions beautifully encapsulated the essence of patriotism, serving as a poignant tribute to the sacrifices of our national heroes.
The event served not only as a celebration of patriotism but also as a means to cultivate pride and solidarity among the students, inspiring them to strive for a better future guided by the ideals of our esteemed martyrs.

The highlight of the closing ceremony was the screening of memorable videos, each capturing the spirit of Veer Bal Divas. These videos not only celebrated the courage and sacrifice of Chaar Sahibzade but also instilled a sense of patriotism among the attendees, serving as a reminder of the values that bind us together. An invigorating fitness session, promoting the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Led by enthusiastic trainers, the session energized the participants and emphasized the significance of physical well-being in the pursuit of community service.
The feedback session provided a backdrop for shared stories, laughter, and reflections on the week's activities. Games and fun activities were conducted for sub-staff members to appreciate their efforts. These games not only added a playful element to the event but also fostered a sense of inclusivity and camaraderie. Laughter echoed through the venue as participants, regardless of their roles, engaged in friendly competition, reinforcing the bonds formed during the camp.
As the closing ceremony ended, there was a palpable sense of accomplishment and unity among the participants. Principal Prof (Dr) Vishal Kumar congratulated the NSS Team for the successful completion of the camp and further asserted that the event vividly embodied the NSS motto "Not Me But You."
