- We use it to buy things making it a perfect “medium of exchange”
- We can definitely save it now to use it at a later date. It can thus be used as a “store of value”
- By comparing the value of two similar products, we can use it as a “measure of value”

"Mumma, I paid double of the regular price for this pencil at the store today, than I would've paid in another store."
My 5 year old came and said this to me yesterday. The grocery store closest to our neighbourhood is the only one around, which is why they can charge more money for things you might get at half the price in other stores. Which is okay, but what this episode teaches us is that once we start talking money to them, children actually start paying attention to the smallest of money matters.

Play a game with your child
✨ Have them guess how much does that bottle of ketchup costs?
✨ It's important to teach your kids the cost of living and value for money, playing this guessing game will put this the thought of cost of living into perspective for them
✨ Let them guess how much income an average earning member of the family makes, and how much does he/she spend on food items. Try it with multiple products, and see them learn budgeting!
