G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd Receives Approval for Additional 60 Seats in B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) 5-Year Course

G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan Khurd, Ludhiana is pleased to announce that the Institute has received approval from the Bar Council of India, New Delhi, the Department of Higher Education, Government of Punjab, Mohali, and the Panjab University, Chandigarh for one additional unit (60 seats) in the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) 5-Year Integrated Course.

With this approval, the total intake capacity of the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) course has been enhanced to 120 seats, thereby providing a greater number of aspiring law students the opportunity to pursue quality legal education at G.H.G. Institute of Law. This remarkable achievement reflects the Institute’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, holistic student development, and strict adherence to the standards prescribed by statutory and regulatory bodies.

Apart from offering the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) course, the Institute also offers the LL.B. 3-Year Course with an intake of 60 seats.

Students of B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) of G.H.G. Institute of Law, Sidhwan, which runs under the aegis of Shri Hargobind Ujagar Hari Trust represented the Institute at 14th R.C. Chopra Memorial National Moot Court Competition organised by St. Soldier Institute of Law, Jalandhar and brought laurels to it by securing 1st Position. The team comprised of three students- Daksh*ta Jain (9th Sem), Pranika Jain (5th Sem), and Juhi (7th Sem).

The team was awarded a total prize money of ₹21,000.

In addition, Pranika Jain received a Special Mention by the Hon’ble Judges for her exceptional performance and was awarded ₹2,100 separately.

The prestigious competition witnessed the participation of 44 teams from 13 states across the country, including reputed institutions such as National Law University, Gujarat; UILS, Chandigarh; O.P. Jindal Global University; NLU, Patiala; Symbiosis Law Schools (Pune & Nagpur); VIPS, Delhi; PURC, Ludhiana; Lovely Professional University; Chandigarh University; Christ University, Bangalore, among others. Dr Shweta Dhand, Officiating Principal congratulated the team and the Moot Court Committee for the success of students. She commended the efforts made by the students which led to their remarkable achievement.
