It is being set up in 1994 with the aim to uplift technological level of small & medium enterprises of the region. The focused area of the institute is in Auto Parts and Hand Tools manufacturing sector. in the shape of Land, Building, Infrastructure and Indigenous Equipment's. UNDP contributed in the shape of Imported Plant, Machinery, Equipment, Foreign Experts and Training of Staff. The complex of the institute is spread over 6 acres of land and situated in the Centralized Industrial Focal Point of Ludhiana. Vision
