Inaugration and 1st day of Basant Bihan

Inauguration of Basant Bihan on 13th February, 2016

"Basant Bihan", is being organized in College of Arts & Crafts premises from Feb. 13 to Feb. 17, 2016. All Art lovers are invited to attend this extravaganza and invite others too.

During the 5 day extravaganza there will be Art Fair and Annual Exhibition of art works. Works from other Arts institutes and some organizations will also be on display. Interesting installations showcasing the creativity of students and faculty will also be on display. Beautifully designed furniture will be one of the main attractions and so will be the Batik and other textile designs from college students.

Dance and cultural activity evenings will be extra attractions on first and last day of the celebrations.

Today a Tonga was flagged off by Prof. N. K. Pandey, Director Sanskriti, Lucknow University to publicize the event throughout the city. The tonga will ply allover the city for a week to inform and invite people about Art Fair and Annual Exhibition.

Getting ready to celebrate Basant.

On the occasion of the Convocation- 2016 of Lucknow University, College of Arts & Crafts, Faculty of Fine Arts, Lucknow University has organized an Installation Camp.
This Installation Camp has added a new dimension to Art by utilizing those articles which have almost became extinct in present day life. This step is a beginning by the College of Arts and Crafts to showcase that these things are still relevant and they can be meaningfully used for Art is the contemporary world. This initiative has been taken under the above guidance of Shri Dharmendra Kumar Principal, College of Arts and Crafts, Lucknow University, Lucknow.

कला एवं शिल्प महाविद्यालय और सामाजिक संस्था विज्ञान फाउंडेशन ने संयुक्त रूप से महिला हिंसा विरोधी पखवाड़ा के तहत 28 दिसंबर को कला प्रतियोगिता का आयोजन किया।
इससे पूर्व एक घंटे के तीन सत्र आयोजित किये गये ताकि छात्र-छात्राएं महिला हिंसा के विविध आयामों और उसकी चुनौतियों को समझ सकें और तदनुसार अपनी अभिव्यक्तियों को आकार दे सकें।
प्रतियोगिता के चार खंड थे- पेंटिंग, पोस्टर, ड्राइंग और मूर्ति कला। हर खंड में प्रथम, द्वितीय, तृत्तीय और दो प्रोत्साहन पुरूस्कार शामिल थे। प्रतियोगिता में 90 से अधिक छात्र-छात्राओं ने हिस्सा लिया।
30 दिसंबर को प्रतियोगिता का पुरूस्कार वितरण समारोह आयोजित हुआ। पुरूस्कार शारीरिक शिक्षा विभाग के अध्यक्ष डा. नीरज जैन के हाथों वितरित हुआ। समारोह में एक्शन एड की मनीषा भाटिया, एपवा की ताहिर हसन, इंसानी बिरादरी के आदियोग भी उपस्थित थे। समारोह का संचालन महाविद्यालय के शिक्षक आलोक कुमार ने किया।
प्राचार्य धर्मेंद्र कुमार ने इस महत्वपूर्ण कार्यक्रम के आयोजन के लिए विज्ञान फाउंडेशन का आभार व्यक्त किया और उसमें बढ़चढ़ कर हिस्सा लेनेवाले छात्र-छात्राओं की सराहना की।
