Here I come with my first post hope it will be fruitful for you all .If a person is standing on the land of India the number of laws that are applicable on him ,he can .t imagine .first and foremost thing is " mistake of law is no mistake " so law assumes we had knowledge of all law to which we are subject to .In India central government and state government make laws on different subject matters so think from where they drive this power to make law , its constitution of India whose article 246 and 265 divide the power between then in schedule 7 which contain 3 list .subject matter listed in list 1 ,central government has the power to make law on those matters and list 2 contain subject matter on which state governments has the power to make law and third list concurrent list both state and central can make law on subject matter listed in 3rd list.So supreme law of our country is constitution of India from which other laws get power . the above post is totally based on my personal knowledge. you're views are much required
