Surgery resident doctor is forced to sleep on the floor in the corridor of hostel

KGMU Hostel allotment committee abruptly decided to reshuffle few of the rooms in the hostel. However few rooms in the Buddha hostel were unkempt, hence few residents requested the administration not to reshuffle the rooms. A surgery resident was admitted to the ward as he was not feeling well. Even his room was sealed...leaving him nowhere to go when he got discharge from ward. The residents submitted applications requesting the authorities not to rush with reshuffling haphazardly. however all there requests were overlooked.

This is the height of insensitivity the authorities have shown towards the resident doctors. We condemn this incident and the irresponsible, illogical and insensitive attitude of the authorities. We stand firm in support of the resident doctors and RDA KGMU.
