जिन बेटों ने पर्वत काटे हैं अपने नाखूनों से
उनकी कोई चाह नहीं है, दिल्ली के कानूनों से
जो सैनिक सीमा रेखा पर, ध्रुव तारा बन जाता है
उस कुर्बानी के दीपक से सूरज भी शरमाता है
गर्म दहानों पर तोपों के, जो सीने अड़ जाते हैं
उनकी गाथा लिखने को, अम्बर छोटे पड़ जाते हैं
उनके लिए हिमालय कन्धा देने को झुक जाता है
चंद घड़ी सागर की लहरों का गर्जन रुक जाता है
उस सैनिक के शव का दर्शन तीरथ जैसा होता है।
चित्र शहीदों का मंदिर की मूरत जैसा होता है।।
