Dr. Hem Saxena nee Nigam, Retd. Principal Scientist, ICAR-Indian Institute of Pulses Research gave a talk today on Biological Control of Insect Pests today at the Department. She is not only an excellent scientist in this field but most happily for all of us..she is an alumnus of this department. She did her M.Sc.(Zoology) with specialization in Entomology in 1973.

Students of the Department of Zoology, launched VITALS, the Zoological Society today on National Science Day.

It consists of 7 clubs

Dr. Shampa M Ghosh, KIIT, Bhubaneshwar, gave an engaging lecture today on "Evolution, Development, Body Size, and Reproductive Isolation: An Integrative Biology Approach using Drosophila" at the Department of Zoology, University of Lucknow. It was an exciting lecture and was very well received. Stimulated much thought amongst students about experimental evolution.
