Nova College of Pharmacy

The combined celebration of the Freshers' Welcome (D.Pharm 1st year) and the Farewell Party (B.Pharm 4th year and D.Pharm 2nd year) was held on 14th May 2025 at Nova College of Pharmacy with great enthusiasm and joy. The event commenced with the lighting of the lamp to invoke blessings for a prosperous academic journey for all students. The program was graced by the presence of Mr.Virendra Singh, Manager, NGOC, Dr.Koshy M.Kymonil, Director, Nova College of Pharmacy Mr.Shivakant, Dr.Umamaheshwari, Dr.S.M.Arfeen.
In his address the Director, Pharmacy welcomed the freshers and called upon them to join the vibrant college community with enthusiasm, curiosity, and the willingness to grow. He expressed his thanks to the outgoing batches for showing the way with their experiences, guidance, and spirit setting an example and the foundation to build upon. A series of cultural performances, including dancing, skits etc. were organized by the students. Games and interactive sessions were conducted to help break the ice between new and senior students. A highlight of the event was the crowning of Mr. and Ms.Fresher, Mr. and Miss Farewell based on fun tasks and self-introduction rounds. Tokens of appreciation and mementos were presented to the seniors as a gesture of love and remembrance. The event concluded with a DJ night, where students danced their hearts out, followed by dinner and a group photo session to capture the memorable moments. Kudos to the faculty members, staff and students of B.Pharm. 3rd year who led by Dr.Pushpa Yadav, Mr.Imtiyaz Ahmad, Ms.Ekta Yadav, members, cultural committee for the grand success of the event.

A guest lecture on the topic "A Role of Clinical Research in Drug Development: A Career Perspective" was held at Nova College of Pharmacy, delivered by Dr. Garima Srivastava, Program Leader & Educator, Clinical Research Department, Artemis Hospital, Gurugram, a distinguished expert in the field of clinical research and pharmaceutical sciences. In her lecture Dr. Srivastava provided a comprehensive overview of the drug development process, emphasizing the pivotal role clinical research plays in bringing new medicines from the laboratory to the market.A major focus of the lecture was the career opportunities available in the field of clinical research. Dr. Srivastava spoke about various roles such as Clinical Research Associate (CRA), Clinical Data Manager, Regulatory Affairs Specialist, explaining the required skill sets and qualifications for each. She also encouraged students to consider higher studies, certifications, and internships to build a strong foundation for entering this evolving industry. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A segment where students actively participated, seeking advice on career planning and the scope of clinical research in India and abroad.

*Student Industry Visit to Jedux Parenteral Pvt. Ltd. *
A group of *36 students* accompanied by *2 faculty members Dr.Pushpa Yadav and Mr.Ashok Kumar Yadav* from *Nova College of Pharmacy* visited *Jedux Parenteral Pvt. Ltd., Chhatenagarhi, Uttar Pradesh* on *9th May 2025* as part of their Industrial Visit program. During the visit, students were given a guided tour of various departments, including production, quality control, packaging, and storage facilities of sterile manufacturing for injectables. The visit proved to be a valuable learning experience, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and industrial practice. Students gained insights into real-world pharmaceutical operations, which will support their academic and professional development.
