Department of Yoga, Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (BBAU), Lucknow द्वारा आयोजित द्वितीय योगिक व्यक्तित्व विकास शिविर के अंतर्गत बच्चों एवं योग प्रतिभागियों ने उत्साहपूर्वक वृक्षारोपण कर पर्यावरण संरक्षण का संदेश दिया। 🌱

The Department of Yoga, School of Yoga, Naturopathy & Cognitive Studies at Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University, Lucknow, is a center of excellence dedicated to the integrative education, research, and application of Yoga in contemporary society. The department offers a range of academic programmes including M.A./M.Sc. in Yoga, PG Diploma in Yoga Therapy, Certificate Course in Yoga, and Ph.D. in Yoga, designed to cater to diverse learning and career aspirations. The curriculum emphasizes interdisciplinary research, evidence-based practices, and practical applications of Yoga in areas such as health sciences, psychology, and lifestyle disorders.
With a strong commitment to societal well-being, the department integrates traditional practices like Yajna, meditation, and collective prayer with scientific approaches to foster physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual balance. Students are trained for multiple career pathways including UGC-NET/JRF qualification, research and scientific innovation, yoga therapy, and professional teaching.

बाबासाहेब भीमराव अंबेडकर विश्वविद्यालय में ‘मानसिक स्वास्थ्य एवं कल्याण’ पर एकदिवसीय राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठी संपन्न
बाबासाहेब भीमराव अंबेडकर विश्वविद्यालय, लखनऊ में 20 फरवरी 2026 को विद्यार्थियों के मानसिक स्वास्थ्य को केंद्र में रखते हुए “मानसिक स्वास्थ्य: जागरूकता, रोकथाम एवं सहयोग” विषय पर एकदिवसीय राष्ट्रीय संगोष्ठी का सफल आयोजन किया गया। कार्यक्रम का शुभारंभ दीप प्रज्वलन एवं पुष्पांजलि अर्पण के साथ हुआ।
UMMEED (स्टूडेंट काउंसलिंग सेंटर) की समन्वयक प्रो. नीतू सिंह ने अतिथियों का स्वागत करते हुए विद्यार्थियों के मानसिक स्वास्थ्य में संवाद, पारिवारिक सहयोग एवं सकारात्मक सहभागिता के महत्व पर प्रकाश डाला। विश्वविद्यालय के माननीय कुलपति प्रो. राज कुमार मित्तल ने अध्यक्षीय उद्बोधन में विद्यार्थियों के सर्वांगीण विकास एवं मानसिक स्वास्थ्य संवर्धन को विश्वविद्यालय की प्राथमिकता बताया।
मुख्य वक्ता डॉ. अमरेश श्रीवास्तव (प्रोफेसर एमेरिटस, कनाडा) ने डिजिटल स्क्रीनिंग एवं मानसिक स्वास्थ्य के महत्व पर विचार साझा किए। प्रो. पी.के. दलाल ने शैक्षणिक तनाव के प्रभावों पर, जबकि डॉ. कुंवर वैभव ने AI आधारित मानसिक स्वास्थ्य देखभाल मॉडल की भूमिका पर व्याख्यान दिया। प्रो. सुनीता मिश्रा ने छात्र-केंद्रित शिक्षा एवं व्यवहारिक सहयोग की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया।
समापन सत्र में डॉ. दीपेश्वर सिंह ने FFPT एवं मानस शक्ति फाउंडेशन के योगदान को रेखांकित करते हुए माइंडफुलनेस मेडिटेशन का अभ्यास कराया। संगोष्ठी विद्यार्थियों में मानसिक स्वास्थ्य जागरूकता, अवसाद एवं आत्महत्या की रोकथाम तथा सहयोगात्मक शैक्षिक वातावरण के सुदृढ़ीकरण की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण पहल सिद्ध हुई।

Educational Study Tour | 6 February 2026

An educational study tour was organized on 6th February 2026 for MA/MSc and Ph.D. scholars of the Department of Yoga to the Centre for Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences (CBCS), University of Allahabad, and the Central Sanskrit University, Allahabad.
At CBCS, the scholars interacted with Prof. Bhoomika Ray and her team along with her current Ph.D. scholars. A research scholar from the centre guided the students through the laboratories and explained ongoing research work. The students also visited the Neuroimaging Centre, where they were introduced to advanced neuroimaging facilities and their applications in brain–behaviour research.
At Central Sanskrit University, the scholars met Prof. Lalit Kumar Tripathi, Director, and Dr. Anjani Kumar Pundrick, Head, Department of Yoga. An academic presentation on the Indian Knowledge System highlighted the relevance of classical Indian wisdom, yoga, and philosophy in contemporary education and research.
The study tour was highly enriching, fostering interdisciplinary learning, research orientation, and academic inspiration among the students and research scholars.
