The opening ceremony of the 13th edition of the India–Kyrgyzstan Joint Military Exercise 2026 was held today at Misamari, Assam 🇮🇳🎖️.
📅 Running from 04–17 February 2026, the exercise focuses on enhancing interoperability between the Special Forces of both nations 💪🪖.
🏙️🔫 Key training areas include urban warfare and counter-terrorism operations under a United Nations mandate, aimed at sharpening tactical skills and operational coordination 🌐⚔️.

The Indian Army and Indian Navy, in collaboration with Garden Reach Shipyard & Engineers (GRSE), have successfully transported 10 additional extra-wide bridges to Sri Lanka aboard INS Gharial ⚓🚢 under Operation Sagarbandhu.
👷♂️🛠️ Indian Army Engineers, working closely with the Sri Lankan Road Development Authority, are carrying out detailed damage assessments at 7 critical bridge sites across the Central, Uva & Sabaragamuwa Provinces 🗺️.
🚧🌉 To restore connectivity disrupted by , extra-wide Bailey Bridges will be launched at these locations—reconnecting communities and rebuilding lifelines 💪✨.

🏔️❄️ The High Altitude Warfare School (HAWS) of the has successfully concluded an intensive two-week Tailor Made Course for the members of the 👈
Conducted in extreme high-altitude terrain and harsh weather conditions, the course pushed limits and built expertise 💪🌨️. Training covered military skiing 🎿, casualty evacuation 🚑, avalanche rescue & recovery ⛑️, and effective management of high-altitude sickness 🏥.
Beyond rigorous training, the course fostered a vibrant exchange of best practices in high-altitude medicine, casualty evacuation, and military skiing techniques 🤝📚—deepening mutual understanding and strengthening bonds between the two nations.
