प्रदेश की राज्यपाल श्रीमती आनंदीबेन पटेल ने आज लखनऊ स्थित यूनिवर्सल बुक सेलर्स, हजरतगंज का भ्रमण किया। उन्होंने पुस्तकालय में उपस्थित विद्यार्थियों से संवाद भी किया।
राज्यपाल जी का पुस्तकों से गहरा जुड़ाव रहा है। पुस्तकें उनके जीवन में चिंतन, दिशा और प्रेरणा का स्रोत रही हैं। वे न केवल स्वयं अध्ययन करती हैं, बल्कि बच्चों, विद्यार्थियों और शिक्षकों को भी सतत रूप से पुस्तकें पढ़ने के लिए प्रेरित करती हैं। उनका मानना है कि पुस्तकें केवल ज्ञान का माध्यम नहीं, बल्कि जीवन-दृष्टि, संस्कार, और चरित्र निर्माण का भी आधार होती हैं। एक अच्छी पुस्तक जीवन की दिशा बदल सकती है और व्यक्ति को भीतर से समृद्ध बना सकती है। अपने सार्वजनिक उद्बोधनों और संवादों में वे सदैव अध्ययन की संस्कृति को बढ़ावा देने पर बल देती हैं, जिससे आने वाली पीढ़ियाँ ज्ञानवान, संवेदनशील और जागरूक नागरिक बन सकें।
राज्यपाल जी ने बच्चों की पुस्तकों को प्रेरणादायक बताया, जिनमें बाल-नाटक, कहानियाँ तथा रंग-बिरंगी धार्मिक एवं नैतिक शिक्षायुक्त पुस्तकें शामिल थीं, जैसे महाभारत, रामायण एवं श्रीमद्भगवद्गीता का बाल संस्करण। उन्होंने साहित्य को बच्चों के मानसिक विकास का सशक्त माध्यम बताया और विशेष रूप से आंगनबाड़ी व स्कूल स्तर पर इन पुस्तकों को पहुंचाने की आवश्यकता पर बल दिया।
राज्यपाल जी की मोबाइल पुस्तकालय की अवधारणा पर भी चर्चा हुई, जिससे दूरस्थ क्षेत्रों में पुस्तकें बच्चों तक पहुंचाई जा सकें। इस विचार से प्रेरित होकर यूनिवर्सल बुक सेलर्स परिवार ने भी ऐसी संस्थाओं को जोड़कर इस दिशा में कार्य करने की प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त की।
अपने भ्रमण के दौरान राज्यपाल जी का विशेष ध्यान ‘Sanskrit Non-translatables: The Importance of Sanskritizing English’ (लेखकः राजीव मल्होत्रा) नामक पुस्तक पर गया, जिसमें यह प्रतिपादित किया गया है कि संस्कृत के अनेक शब्दों का सटीक अनुवाद संभव नहीं है और उन्हें मूल रूप में ही वैश्विक भाषाओं में अपनाया जाना चाहिए। इस अवसर पर संपूर्णानंद संस्कृत विश्वविद्यालय, वाराणसी तथा डॉ. भीमराव आंबेडकर विश्वविद्यालय, आगरा में संरक्षित प्राचीन पांडुलिपियों एवं उनके डिजिटलीकरण के कार्य पर भी चर्चा हुई। राज्यपाल जी द्वारा बुक स्टोर में व्यतीत किया गया समय, उनके पुस्तकों के प्रति गहरे लगाव को दर्शाता है। यूनिवर्सल बुक सेलर्स परिवार ने उनके प्रति हार्दिक कृतज्ञता व्यक्त की।
