National Space Day 2025 Celebrated at SRMU

The Faculty of Physical Sciences, Shri Ramswaroop Memorial University, celebrated National Space Day 2025 on 23rd August 2025 at B2-408 under the national theme “From Aryabhatta to Gaganyaan: Ancient Wisdom to Infinite Possibilities.”

The event began with a welcome address by Dr. R. G. Singh, Dean FoPS, who emphasized the significance of India’s space journey in inspiring young minds. A space quiz, conducted through QR code participation, tested students’ knowledge of milestones from Aryabhata to Gaganyaan. Students also presented posters and talks on topics such as India’s Space Journey, NISAR, and the Gaganyaan program, showcasing their scientific understanding and creativity.

The highlight of the program was an expert talk by Lalit Shukla, Assistant Professor, FoPS, titled “Asteroid Missions: From Exploration to Resource Utilization.” The session offered insights into international asteroid missions, their challenges, and India’s future prospects in this emerging domain.

The celebration concluded with appreciation for the active student participation and the encouragement of faculty members, making the event a memorable tribute to India’s space achievements.
