Dear friends sharing my new video of our trip to World famous Crater Lake South Oregon Portland!!
We packed our stuff in the morning to visit World famous Crater lake from Diamond Lake after an amazing night halt at the Diamond lake.
The road journey was amazingly beautiful and smooth; it took us around 2 hrs from Diamond lake to crater Lake.
On the way we passed through the woods, volcanic mountain ranges covered with snow and pines forest.
Crater Lake National park is in south Oregon, formed by a volcano Mt Mazama, it's height is 12000ft. It erupted about 7700 yrs ago which is still active.The Crater lake is 500ft deep.
It's actually a Caldera formed from the collapse of volcanic magma chambers. The crater lake became National park in 1902 the area is around 286 sq miles. Lies on the crest of Cascade Mt range around 100 miles away from East Pacific Ocean.
It's a first deepest lake in the US and 7 th in the world.
It's water is clearest, purest and fresh water in the world.
The deep blue colour is due to depth, clarity and purity of water where sunlight can pe*****te up to 400ft. Therefore, supports lives such as microorganisms, moss and bacteria live at the bottom..
There is wildlife in the forest comprising black bear, elk, black tail deer, mountain lion and mule deer..
