🌿✨ Session on Social & Emotional Learning (SEL) ✨🌿

A valuable session on Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) was conducted at CMS Cambridge Gomti Nagar Extension by Ms. Tanisha Srivastava, School Counselor. The session aimed to sensitize teachers to the importance of SEL in identifying and supporting students’ emotional, behavioural, and social needs early.

Teachers explored how behaviour reflects emotional communication, learned to recognize early signs of concern, and understood the importance of observation, early support, and collaboration with counsellors and parents. Through interactive discussions and reflective activities, participants also acknowledged that every child is unique and carries a different story.

The session reinforced that embedding SEL practices in daily classroom interactions helps create emotionally safe classrooms, supports mental well-being, and promotes holistic student development.

Our Story

“No matter what your ability is, effort is what ignites that ability and turns it into accomplishment.” — Carol S. Dweck

The best gift one can give children is to teach them to love challenges, be intrigued by mistakes, enjoy effort and keep on learning. From its inception, we at the Cambridge Section have tried to create a climate of no fear, where our students are comfortable in asking questions and not always answering them.

Here our students get to play an active role in the classroom. They think critically, construct arguments, evaluate evidence and provide feedback, as we truly believe that there is no limit to what a child can explore and experience in a classroom. They are also encouraged to think beyond textbooks, to blossom into young adults ready to tackle the demand of tomorrow’s world, capable of shaping a better world for the future.

Enthusiastic, open minded, well-informed and creative teachers have added value to the section through engaging and innovative classrooms.
