IIC - School of Management Sciences (SMS) Lucknow celebrated World Environment Day with great enthusiasm on 5th June 2025. The event witnessed active participation from faculty members, students, and staff, who came together to highlight the importance of environmental sustainability and the need for collective action to preserve our planet.
On this occasion, Dr. B.R. Singh, DG (Tech.), SMS Lucknow, addressed the gathering and shared his insights on the significance of World Environment Day. He emphasized the importance of individual and institutional responsibility in protecting the environment and encouraged everyone to adopt eco-friendly practices in their daily lives.
The event featured various activities, like discussions on environmental issues, the sharing of innovative ideas to promote green practices on campus etc. The initiative reflects the institute’s commitment to fostering environmental awareness and sustainability among its community.

SMS Lucknow – Institution Innovation Council and Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the School of Management Sciences (SMS) Lucknow organized an expert lecture on the "Application of Machine Learning" for B.Tech students today. The session was delivered by Mr. Arvind Kumar Tiwari, Professor and Head, Department of Computer Science and Engineering at Kamla Nehru Institute of Technology (KNIT), Sultanpur.
Prof. Tiwari, a distinguished academician and expert in the field of machine learning, shared insights into the foundational concepts, recent trends, and real-world applications of machine learning. He highlighted how machine learning is transforming industries such as healthcare, finance, agriculture, and education, and emphasized its role in solving complex problems through data-driven approaches.
The lecture aimed to bridge the gap between academic knowledge and industry demands, encouraging students to pursue hands-on projects and research in machine learning. Prof. Tiwari also shared case studies from his own research experiences, inspiring students to explore the interdisciplinary opportunities that machine learning offers.
The session concluded with an engaging Q&A segment where students actively interacted with Prof. Tiwari, seeking guidance on career prospects, project ideas, and further studies in the field.

The event took place on the SMS campus, bringing together students, mentors and academicians under one roof.

Institution’s Innovation Council, School of Management Sciences (SMS), Lucknow, organized an enlightening and thought-provoking lecture for B.Tech students on the topic “Empowering the Future: ITSM and SAAS with ServiceNow”, delivered by Mr. Ashish Mishra, Technical Consultant, HCL Tech(USA), This Lecture delivered through virtual platforms.
The session focused on the growing importance of ITSM and Software as a Service (SaaS) in the evolving digital landscape, with a special emphasis on ServiceNow, a leading cloud-based platform widely adopted by global enterprises. Mr. Mishra elaborated on how these technologies are transforming traditional IT services into more efficient, scalable, and user-centric solutions.
Addressing an enthusiastic audience of aspiring engineers, Mr. Mishra highlighted the relevance of digital transformation and automation in today’s IT ecosystem. He encouraged students to align their skillsets with industry demands and adopt platforms like ServiceNow to stay ahead in the competitive job market.
The session was highly interactive, with students engaging in meaningful discussions and gaining valuable insights into real-world applications of ITSM and SaaS. Faculty members appreciated the practical exposure the lecture provided and its role in bridging the gap between academia and industry.
