Allergan Sherlock Holmes post Graduate Quiz was organised in Department of Ophthalmology for the residents.

Department of Ophthalmology at HIMS, Barabanki under the Guidance Of Dr. Kumudini Sharma (Prof. And Head), Dr. Arun Kumar Singh (Associate professor), Dr. Alka Gupta (Assistant Professor) have operated a record breaking total no. Of 100 ocular surgeries in the department here in the 2 months (January and February 2023) which include variety of cases like Cataract surgeries (SICS & Phacoemulsification), DCR surgeries, Squint Surgery, Ptosis Correction Surgery, Lid Reconstruction Case, Trabeculectomy for Glaucoma, Ptergium Excision, Lid Abscess Drainage, Cyst Excision, etc.

The Final Year MS Ophthalmology Residents Dr. Bharat Mittal and Dr. Chitrangda Singh also performed the surgeries under supervision and assisted in almost all cases.

We here as a team at Dept. Of Ophthalmology are evaluating a wide variety of cases daily in the OPD related to a
Anterior Segment and Cataract, Neuro-ophthalmology, Paediatric Ophthalmology and Squint, Cornea Cases,Glaucoma, Retina cases and do a variety of investigations and diagnostic procedures daily.

Department is well equipped with all the diagnostic machines like Fundus Camera, OCT, HFA, AB Scan, Synaptophore, Nd Yag Laser, Green Laser, ARK etc.

We are continuously working towards the excellent patient care and looking forward to reach newer heights in future.
