Using the speckle interferometry technique, R136a was shown to be made up of 8 stars within 1 arcsecond at the centre of the cluster, with R136a1 being the brightest.

भगवान श्रीराम का जन्म 7323 ईसा पूर्व हुआ था। चैत्र मास की नवमी को रामनवमी के रूप में मनाया जाता है। लेकिन असल में वैज्ञानिक शोधकर्ताओं अनुसार श्रीराम की जन्म दिनांक वाल्मीकि द्वारा बताए गए ग्रह-नक्षत्रों के आधार पर प्लैनेटेरियम सॉफ्टवेयर अनुसार 4 दिसंबर 7323 ईसा पूर्व अर्थात आज से 9339 वर्ष पूर्व हुआ था। 

 

वाल्मीकि के अनुसार श्रीराम का जन्म चैत्र शुक्ल नवमी तिथि एवं पुनर्वसु नक्षत्र में जब पांच ग्रह अपने उच्च स्थान में थे तब हुआ था। इस प्रकार सूर्य मेष में 10 डिग्री, मंगल मकर में 28 डिग्री, ब्रहस्पति कर्क में 5 डिग्री पर, शुक्र मीन में 27 डिग्री पर एवं शनि तुला राशि में 20 डिग्री पर था।
