Founded in 2020, Laddubox is a health- conscious sweets brand from Hyderabad that stands out by offering products free from sugar and preservatives. The brand was launched by entrepreneurial couple Saandeep Jogiparti and Kavitha Gopu, both experienced engineers.
Saandeep, driven by his desire to return to Hyderabad and his passion for entrepreneurship, partnered with his wife, Kavitha, an equally accomplished software engineer, to begin their venture. After spending more than five years in the corporate world, the couple moved back to India in 2019 to embark on this new journey.
Upon returning, Saandeep spent six to eight months traveling across India, during which the food and fitness industry caught his attention. His personal love for sweets, combined with the realization that most energy and protein bars had hidden ingredients, led to the idea of creating a healthier sweets alternative. Initially, the brand marketed its handcrafted sweets through stalls at fairs and IT companies. Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic after its official launch in May 2020, Laddubox thrived, as the pandemic heightened awareness about healthy eating. This helped the brand build a loyal customer base.
Starting with just four products, Laddubox has expanded its range to 15 varieties of health- focused laddus. It now serves customers nationwide through its online platform, collaborates with B2B channels for bulk orders, and operates a physical store in Hyderabad.
Operating without sugar, artificial preservatives, or synthetic colors and flavors, Laddubox achieved an impressive annual turnover of ₹2 crore in FY23. With ambitious plans for the future, the brand aims to open 100 stores across Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, and Delhi NCR by 2025.
