On November 28, 2023, the Department of Social Work at the University of Lucknow hosted a compelling session featuring Prof. Sanjay Bhatt. In this engaging event, Prof. Bhatt shared the fascinating narrative of his professional journey, recounting the pivotal decision to leave 17 unsatisfying jobs before finding fulfillment in his 18th position at the Delhi School of Social Work. Delving into his connection with the Department of Social Work at the University of Lucknow, Prof. Bhatt also revealed that on March 1, 2024, NAPSWI (National Association of Professional Social Workers in India) would unveil the Indian definition of Social Work.
Concluding the session, Prof. Sanjay Bhatt imparted a valuable message to the students, emphasizing the importance of acquiring life and professional skills essential in the 21st century. Head of the Department, Prof. Anoop Kumar Bhartiya, highlighted Prof. Bhatt's visionary role in conceptualizing a national association for professional social workers in India, commending his dedication to transforming it into a national platform.
Expressing gratitude during the vote of thanks, Prof. Raj Kumar Singh underscored Prof. Bhatt's significant contributions to the development and enhancement of the Department of Social Work.
