🎭 Say No to Drugs, Say Yes to Life! ✊

As part of the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan Pakhwada, students of the Faculty of Architecture & Planning, AKTU presented three impactful theatrical performances on 7 August 2026, highlighting the harmful effects of substance abuse and inspiring young people to choose a healthy, positive and drug-free life.

The programme was organised under the guidance of Dean Dr. Vandana Sehgal and HoD Prof. Ritu Gulati, and coordinated by Asst. Prof. Bhupendra Kumar Asthana.

The performances were judged by Neha Srivastava, Shubham Tiwari & Girish Pandey, while Abdul Kalam & Navya Agrawal hosted the programme.

Under the gracious chairmanship of the Hon’ble Chancellor and Governor of Uttar Pradesh, Smt. Anandiben Patel, Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University (AKTU), Lucknow, celebrated its 24th Convocation Ceremony in a dignified and inspiring atmosphere.
The ceremony was graced by Shri Arvind Singh Sahney, Chairman, IOCL, as the Chief Guest, while Shri Ashish Patel, Hon’ble Minister of Technical Education, Uttar Pradesh, and Dr. M.K.S. Sundaram, Principal Secretary, Technical Education, attended as the Guests of Honour.
During the ceremony, the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Prof. J. P. Pandey, presented the University’s progress report. Degrees were conferred upon 62,537 graduates, 83 meritorious students were awarded medals for academic excellence, and 53 scholars were awarded the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree.
A proud highlight of the occasion was the release of four important publications by the Faculty of Architecture and Planning (FOAP):

These publications reflect the University’s commitment to academic excellence, research and innovation, preservation of cultural heritage, and the advancement of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The presence of the Hon’ble Chancellor, distinguished dignitaries, faculty members, and hundreds of students made the event truly memorable. Students of the Faculty of Architecture and Planning also presented outstanding cultural performances, adding grandeur and vibrancy to the celebration.

Faculty of Architecture & Planning, AKTU, hosted a Stakeholder Consultation Workshop on Applying Geospatial Open Building Stack (GOBS) in collaboration with AEEE. The workshop brought together academicians, professionals, researchers, and stakeholders to discuss the transformative potential of geospatial building data in shaping smarter, more sustainable, and resilient cities.
