➡️As much as 50 per cent of our coral reefs have already been lost and up to 90 per cent of coral reefs could be lost by 2050, even if global warming is limited to an increase of 1.5°C.

➡️The World Environment Day is focus in the ecosystem restoration and its theme is “Reimagine. Recreate.Restore.”

➡️Ecosystem restoration means preventing, halting and reversing this damage – to go from exploiting nature to healing it. This World Environment Day will kick off the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration (2021-2030), a global mission to revive billions of hectares, from forests to farmlands, from the top of mountains to the depth of the sea.

➡️Only with healthy ecosystems can we enhance people’s livelihoods, counteract climate change and stop the collapse of biodiversity.

World Turtle Day is May 23rd each year and is celebrated throughout the world. It was started by American Tortoise Rescue.


Turtles belong to one of the oldest reptile groups in the world. These creatures date back to the time of the dinosaurs, over 200 million years ago.


There are a total of 300 species of turtles in the entire world, out of which 129 species are .Therefore, to raise among humans to help turtles survive and thrive in their natural habitat, every year World Turtle Day is celebrated.


The theme for this year “Turtles Rock!” encourages a worldwide audience to see turtles as more than just rocks with legs.

On this UN Global Road Safety Week, it is a call on policymakers to act for low speed streets worldwide, limiting speeds to 30 km/h (20 mph) where people walk, live and play.
