23/4/2026-Utkarsh International School celebrated 4th Edition of Sustainable Week from 21st April to 25th April. It is celebrated around Earth Day each year.

The Chief Guest of the program was Mrs Sushma Kharkwal, Mayor Lucknow, who congratulated students and teachers for their conscious efforts in spreading awareness about sustainability and environmental protection. Mrs Sushma Kharkwal felicitated students whose contributions brought a significant change and helped make a greener school.
Another special guest present was Mrs Sonam Sinha, Owner Ekana Sportz City Ekana Stadium and Executive Member of FICCI FLO, Lucknow Chapter.

Our students and teachers select various activities to be conducted all throughout the week like story telling, poster making, role play, paper recycling, paperless day, power-down hour, best out of waste, a donation drive, models on sustainable living etc. UIS also collaborates with NGOs working in the direction of environmental protection. This year again, UIS collaborated with SparkLiv, which a non-governmental organisation working towards sustainable living. A parent's workshop on waste segregation was organised and parents were educated about the longterm and harmful effects of waste dumping as change begins at home. A fun quiz was organised in the end and parents were given a recycled paper pen to mark the Earth Day Celebration.

Congratulations to the entire batch of Class X- (2025-26)! Yet again , another milestone achieved , another success with 100 percent result in CBSE BOARD Examination 2026! Achieving great percentage is only a part of the process but working hard and not giving up is what truly deserves an appreciation ! Proud of each one of you!
