Mahangu Bhagat DAV Public school Lohardaga (Jharkhand) made humble beginning in a rented building at Lohardaga as DAV Centenary School in April 1986 under the stewardship of Sh.H.S Chillar with 284 Children for the uplift of adivasis and poor people of this area. It was accorded approval by DAV College Managing Committee vide its resolution No. 136 dated 18/10/1992. Bhukhla Bhagat leased out two a

cres of their land at Karamtoli,Juria, Lohardaga to this school for forty years in 1993 and it was rechristened as Mahangu Bhagat DAV Public School, Lohardaga. In October 2001, The Laxmi Narayan Educational Trust, Lohardaga donated its existing premises at Shastri Chowk, Lohardaga to run as Sulochana Devi laxmi Narayan DAV Public School(Junior), Shastri Chowk, Lohardaga. The School itself is a saga of success and is creating new vistas of development. Today almost one thousand four hundred students in 30 setions get quality education upto class-XII from 32 teachers at this School. It is affiliated with Central Board Of Secondary Education, New Delhi and its CBSE affiliation No. Its affiliation No. with DAV Board of Education, New Delhi is 411.
