Celebrating Commitment: MCKV honours students with Perfect Attendance

Summer Smiles Before the Break
The students of the Foundational Stage (Nursery - Class 2) at MCKV celebrated their last day before summer break through various summer activities and a Tang Party with great enthusiasm and excitement blending joyful learning with laughter and creativity.
The celebration also included heartfelt Mother’s Day activities, where students prepared colourful handmade cards, drawings, and crafts for their mothers. The little ones further expressed their love and gratitude by celebrating Mother’s Day for the teachers and lady colleagues of the school through thoughtful gestures and warm wishes.
Adding meaning to the occasion, the students of UKG observed Red Cross Day, while Nursery students participated in an engaging Emotion Dice Role-Play Activity that encouraged empathy, kindness, confidence, and emotional awareness.
The day beautifully captured the spirit of happiness, creativity, compassion, and togetherness before the summer break.

A Symphony of Love and Literature
The morning assembly held on 8 May 2026 beautifully commemorated Mother’s Day and Rabindra Jayanti with warmth, reverence, and cultural splendour.
Mother’s Day celebrations blossomed into a heartfelt tribute to mothers-the guiding lights of our lives through a joyful recitation blended into an engaging mime act presented by both teachers and students. The occasion radiated love, gratitude, and admiration for the invaluable role mothers play in shaping our lives.
The celebration of Rabindra Jayanti paid a graceful homage to the timeless genius of Rabindranath Tagore. The assembly resonated with literary elegance and musical charm through the soulful rendition of Aloker Ei Jharna Dharay .
Thought-provoking speeches highlighted Gurudev’s extraordinary contributions to literature, music, and humanity while reflecting upon his ideals of peace, patriotism, and universal brotherhood.

Interact Club of M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth organised a thoughtful Sharbat Distribution Drive on 5 and 6 May 2026. This initiative conducted by Class 11 students aimed at providing relief to people travelling along the roads in the hot and humid weather.
The activity was warmly received and brought smiles to many faces.
It also enabled students to understand the importance of empathy, service, and social responsibility, thereby fostering a strong sense of compassion and fellow feeling among them.

Leadership Training for Prefectorial Body
The Prefectorial Body members of M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth participated in a comprehensive two-day Leadership Training Programme held on 5 and 6 May 2026. Conducted under the theme Responsible Leadership , the programme aimed to equip student leaders with essential skills through interactive and engaging sessions.
The training commenced with an ice-breaker activity coordinated by Ms Sanchita Sarkar, Secondary Stage Coordinator, encouraging teamwork and open communication. This was followed by an insightful session by Principal, Mr Biswajit Majumdar, who emphasised the importance of leadership through action. A Communication Skills Workshop, conducted by Ms Sanghamitra Pal and Ms Lipika Dhar, Secondary Stage teachers, focussed on enhancing verbal and non-verbal communication, along with the importance of maintaining hierarchy.
Students also engaged in a session on handling peer pressure and difficult situations led by Ms Subhechyya Chatterjee, Secondary Stage Coordinator.
Day 2 featured a team-building activity that highlighted collaboration under pressure. Sessions on managing responsibility and time, conducted by Ms Sanchita Sarkar, Secondary Stage Coordinator, as well as mindfulness and emotional intelligence by School Counsellor, Ms Mousumi Choudhury. On the second day, Chairman, Mr Kishan Kumar Kejriwal, briefly addressed the student leaders, outlining the school’s expectations from the council and eliciting a sincere promise of commitment from them.
The training session concluded with the distribution of certificates by Principal, Mr Biswajit Majumdar, and Senior School Headmistress, Ms Gargi Mukherjee, marking the successful completion of the programme. The event ended on a positive and celebratory note, leaving participants motivated and better prepared to lead with confidence and responsibility.

Young Leaders Take Charge: Monitor Investiture at MCKV
The Investiture Ceremony for the appointment of Monitors and Assistant Monitors was conducted with much pride and enthusiasm at MCKV. During the morning assemblies of 21 April 2026 and 6 May 2026, these badges of honour were handed over to our Monitors and Assistant Monitors across Classes 1 - 12, marking the beginning of their leadership journey. Director, Mr Neelkantha Gupta, Principal, Mr Biswajit Majumdar, Senior School Headmistress, Ms Gargi Mukherjee and Junior School Headmistress, Ms Keka Mukherjee formally invested our young leaders and encouraged them with their presence.
Class Monitors play a vital role as the bridge between teachers and students, fostering discipline, responsibility, and a positive classroom environment. They lead by example and support the smooth functioning of daily school life. We extend our best wishes to them as they step into their roles and lead their classes with confidence and integrity.

M. C. Kejriwal Vidyapeeth proudly felicitated its ICSE and ISC 2026 toppers at their homes in the presence of their family members, celebrating their outstanding achievements with warmth and admiration.
The students were presented with congratulatory notes, sweet boxes and flower bouquets by Principal, Mr Biswajit Majumdar, and IT Head of the school, Mr Ajay Singh, as tokens of appreciation for their hard work and excellence, in the presence of their proud parents.
Adding a deeply personal touch to the celebrations, the Chairman of the school, Mr Kishan Kumar Kejriwal, individually interacted with each student and their family members through conference call, conveying his heartfelt congratulations and words of praise for their remarkable accomplishments.
The initiative reflects MCKV’s belief in nurturing strong, lasting ties with its students and their families, celebrating success as a shared journey.
