Today a delegation team of All Assam B Ed College Principals' and Teachers' Association have a meeting at the office of Hon'ble Minister of Education, Assam for discussion about the different issues faced by the Teacher Education Institute (TEI) as Provincialisation, Converting into Multidisciplinary HEI, Govt.NOC for opening UG course, ITEP, Collaboration, The Hon'ble Minister sir has assured us that he will help us in solving the issues. The delegation team led by the Secretary DrMustafizur Rahman, Principal krishna Bora B.Ed College Lanka and other members are of West Guwahati COE Dr. Gitanjali Choudhary, .Beuty Hazarika Biswanath COE, Bajali TT college .

A meeting of All Assam B Ed College Principals and Teachers Principals was held at ASPM, Lankeswar on 24.07.2025.The meeting was presided over by the President(i/c)of the Association Dr.Partha Phukan Mahanta sir , where Principals and Senior faculty members of B.Ed colleges across the state were present. Secretary of Association & Principal ,Krishna Bora B Ed College Lanka DrMustafizur Rahman has welcomed all the delegates and states the objectives of the meeting. The participants have discussed the challenges faced by the B. Ed Colleges mainly in opening ITEP , transforming TEI into Multidisciplinary HEI, NOC for opening UG courses, collaboration of TEI with General colleges. The meeting resolved to appeal to the state Govt. to solve the above cited problems for the greater interest of colleges, since the colleges contribute a lot in fulfilling the need of teacher education and also brought a revolutionary change in quality education. In the meeting principals of Barpeta BT college, Dr. Beuty Hazarika, Principal Biswanath College of Education, Dr.Abhijit Devadhikari Principal of KRD College of Education, Malabika Bordoloi Principal,ASPM and of SDP College of Education, Tihu has delivered speech on the topic. A total of about 45 delegates attended the meeting including the Dr.Abdul Samad Principal ,Baihata Chari Ali B Ed College, DR AJIT BORO , Principal,Gosaigaon BEd College, Charusmita Mahanta ,Deomornoi B Ed College, Dr. Doli Buragohain College of Education,Morigaon, West Guwahati COE, Bongaigaon BEd College, Patherkandi B Ed College were also present. The President in his speech highlighted the role of B Ed College in improving the quality of education in the state.At last the secretary offered a vote of thanks to all.

A meeting of principals of B.Ed. colleges was held at Gauhati University.The meeting was presided over by the Registrar, GU. and other officials attended were Director, CDC. Prof. Pradeep Phukan., Academic Registrar Prof. Rajib Handique , HOD Education Prof. Dulumoni Goswami, COE Prof. K.K Sharma, Deputy COE Dr. P K Das. and Principals all B.Ed Colleges affiliated to G.U. were present. Hon'ble Registrar GU in his speech highlighted different administrative issues and new steps for improving quality. From the All Assam B.Ed.College Principals' & Teachers' Association President Dr.Parth Phukan Mahanta submitted a memorandum on behalf of the Association. The Registrar, academic registrar, Director CDC assured that they will solve all the issues and seek cooperation from colleges also. HOD Education has said that curriculum will be revised in the light of NEP and Deputy COE pointed out exam related matters. Principals of Dhubri PGT, West Guwahati COE, Barpeta BT, Baihata Chari Ali B.Ed College, and College of Education, Morigaon also gave their opinion . At last secretary of the Association and principal krishna Bora B Ed College DrMustafizur Rahman offered a vote of thanks to the university authorities for organising the meeting and showed positive response to the problem. He appealed to them to consider all the demand placed by the association on a priority basis.

A delegation team of the Association meet Hon'ble Minister Mr.U G. Brahma at his Chamber, Assam Legislative Assembly on 09/06/2025. The delegation team consisting of Dr. Paratha Phukan Mahanta sir President I/c & Principal, Rangia TT College, DrMustafizur Rahman Secretary & Principal, Krishna Bora B Ed College, Lanka and Dr. Ajit Boro Principal, Gossaigaon BEd CollegeHad a discussion with him regarding challenges faced by the B.Ed Colleges of Assam. Thnq so much to the Minister for giving us time during the assembly session.
