GST 2.0: SHAPING A MORE COMPETITIVE & DIGITAL BHARAT
The Department of RISE, CEC-CGC Landran, in collaboration with ICSSR, proudly commenced the Two-Day National Conclave on “GST 2.0: Compliance, Cost & Competitiveness – Empowering MSMEs & Start-ups in India’s Digital Growth Era” with an intellectually enriching Inaugural Session on Day 1.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of Hon’ble Vice Chairman, CGC Landran, S.Parampal Singh Dhillon; Campus Director, Prof. Dr. Rajdeep Singh; Dean Research, Prof. Dr. Neha Sharma; Prof. Dr. Dinesh Arora, along with all Heads, HoDs, faculty members, and distinguished dignitaries.
Bringing together academicians, researchers, industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and start-up innovators, the conclave opened meaningful conversations around GST reforms, digitalization, fintech, compliance, and the growing competitiveness of MSMEs and start-ups in India’s digital economy.

A key highlight of Day 1 was the Grassroots Innovators Award Ceremony, celebrating rural innovators whose ingenuity is driving transformation in agriculture, rural automation, and high-value crop cultivation.
As Day 1 of this two-day national conclave draws to a close, the discussions have laid a strong foundation for deeper dialogue, collaboration, and actionable insights on building a more innovative, inclusive, and competitive Bharat.

Shaping the Future of Higher Education through Global Collaboration
The Department of International Affairs, CEC-CGC Landran, Mohali had the privilege of participating in “HE Connect: Shaping the Future of Higher Education Together,” organized by the British Council at Hyatt Regency, Chandigarh.
Representing CEC-CGC Landran, Ms. Aishna Mahajan, Head- International Affairs, along with Ms. Namarta Thakur, International Faculty Coordinator, actively engaged with distinguished stakeholders from the higher education ecosystem, contributing to meaningful dialogue, professional exchange, and insightful discussions on the rapidly evolving landscape of international higher education.
The program commenced with a welcome address by Alba Smeriglio, British Deputy High Commissioner, followed by opening remarks from Shannon West, Deputy Director India, British Council & Director North India. The event further featured an engaging and thought-provoking conversation on “The Journey of International Branch Campus in India,” moderated by Rittika Chanda Parruck MBE, Director Education, British Council.
The discussions offered valuable perspectives on the increasing significance of internationalization, cross-border academic engagement, institutional partnerships, and sustainable pathways for global collaboration in higher education. The networking session further enriched the experience by providing opportunities to connect with education leaders and professionals, exchange ideas, and explore potential avenues for future academic partnerships.

The interaction offered valuable insights into emerging industry trends, innovative academic practices, and opportunities to develop industry-aligned programs and initiatives that bridge the gap between academic learning and evolving industry requirements.
The discussions also focused on strengthening student engagement, professional networking, skill development, and career readiness through industry-oriented platforms and meaningful exposure to the professional world. Freedom is not merely a chapter in our history; it is the legacy we inherit, the responsibility we uphold, and the pride that unites us as Bharat.
Chandigarh Engineering College-CGC Landran, Mohali celebrated India’s 80th Independence Day with immense pride, patriotic fervor, and an overwhelming spirit of national unity. From the discipline and grandeur of the NCC parade to the powerful student skits, soulful singing performances, and inspiring addresses, every moment reflected the indomitable spirit of a free and resurgent India.
The thought-provoking words of Campus Director (Prof.) Dr. Rajdeep Singh and Dr. Gagandeep Bhullar, Director – Student Welfare and Alumni Affairs, added meaning and inspiration to this memorable celebration.
A special note of appreciation to Lt. (Dr.) Santosh Kumar, Professor, Mechanical Engineering & Head, NCC Department, whose dedication and leadership continue to strengthen and empower the NCC Unit at CEC-CGC Landran.
And then came those truly unforgettable moments-when the entire campus reverberated with “Bharat Mata Ki Jai!”, and every heart swelled with pride while reciting “Jana Gana Mana.” Those were not merely words or slogans; they were emotions, they were pride, they were goosebumps. Honoring the Gift of Life- World Organ Donation Day 2026 at Chandigarh Engineering College-CGC Landran, Mohali!
On the occasion of World Organ Donation Day, CEC-CGC Landran hosted a deeply meaningful awareness program, organized by Jeevansh Community, bringing together eminent medical experts, institutional leadership, faculty members, students, and proud organ donors for an insightful dialogue on the transformative and life-saving impact of organ donation.
A special digital message from Hon’ble Chairman, CGC Landran, Satnam Singh Sandhu, further underscored the importance of collective responsibility and encouraged society to embrace organ donation as a noble commitment towards humanity.
The event was graced by the esteemed presence of President, CGC Landran, Rashpal Singh Dhaliwal, Vice-Chairman, Parampal Singh Dhillon and Campus Director, (Prof.) Dr. Rajdeep Singh, along with respected Directors, Deans, and Heads of Departments.
Extending their support to this noble cause, celebrated Punjabi cinema artists Gurpreet Bhangu and Malkeet Rauni also joined the initiative, lending their voices to the message of compassion, awareness, and giving the gift of life.
The highlight of the program was an engaging Question & Answer session, where students actively interacted with the distinguished panel of doctors and gained valuable insights into organ donation, transplantation, medical considerations, and the importance of making informed decisions.

RISE TO THE TOP! PID Labs Clinches FIRST PRIZE at Tecnoxian World Robotics Championship! 🏆
The Department of RISE, Chandigarh Engineering College-CGC Landran, Mohali is immensely proud to celebrate the remarkable achievement of Jai Sharma (ECE), Jayant Jindal (IoT), and Shail Thakur (RAI) from PID Labs, a startup incubated at the ACIC RISE Association, for securing the First Prize in the Drone Rescue Competition at the Tecnoxian World Robotics Championship - Zonal Round, held at Amity University.
Competing against 10 teams, our talented students showcased exceptional drone piloting skills, successfully navigating a challenging obstacle course with remarkable precision, speed, and accuracy to emerge victorious and claim the top position.
This outstanding accomplishment was achieved under the expert mentorship of Er. Sonia Jindal, Vertical Head - Drone Lab, whose guidance, technical expertise, and continuous support played a pivotal role in the team's success.
We also extend our heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Rajdeep Singh, Campus Director, and Prof. (Dr.) Neha Sharma, Dean – Research & Development, for their constant encouragement and unwavering support in fostering a culture of innovation, excellence, and experiential learning.
