s in Uttranchal called Don Bosco Public School. It is an English Medium, Residential School affiliated to the C.B.S.E. It is an peaceful and pollution free atmosphere and 18 kilometeres from Kathgodam on the way to Nainital. The birth of this schhol took place on the eighth day of March 1998 by Mr. Bishop Anthony Fernandes. In the year 2001, the school was taken over by the new Management under the Chairmanship of Mr. J.K. Chadha. At that time there were only 65 students and today we have a strength of 350 boarders. Since then, the school has been a trail blazer in the field of education. It was due to the hard earned efforts of Mr. Chadha and our Principal, Mrs. L. Solomon and hardworking, devoted teachers that the school finally got affiliated to class X in 2001. The combined efforts of the teachers colud be seen shining in 100% result of the first batch of class X students. The school has been expanding continously in its scope and range of activities. It has undergone various changes in terms of structure, building, seperate science Labs, Library, fields, dormitories, teachers' quarters and a huge Auditorium where Morning Assembly and cultural activities like Debate, speeches, quiz etc. are held. The growth and fame of the school is increasing day by day. In the year 2002, the school was successful in achieving the Class XII affiliation. Our team of highly qualified teachers worked laboriously and our students made the school proud by getting a 100% result. The school has maintained its record of achieving cent percent first division result in class X and class XII all these years. The atmosphere in Dos Bosco is like a 'Home away from Home'. The food is highly nutritious and delicious and the kitchen is under the personal supervision of the school authorities. The Dormitory staff gives their loving care and whole hearted individual attention to the students. The school has maintained the high standards that it has set in the field of education. The students have excelled in different competitions of Dance, Debate, Speech and Songs, P.T., Yoga and spoken English have helped the students to lead disciplined and stress free lives.
