Independence Day is a celebration of India’s freedom, unity and indomitable spirit. It is a day to remember the courage and sacrifices of our freedom fighters and, at the same time, to renew our commitment to building a strong, progressive and responsible nation.
With immense patriotic fervour and enthusiasm, Aggarsain Public School celebrated the 80th Independence Day with a splendid blend of patriotism, culture and youthful energy.
The celebration commenced with the flag-hoisting ceremony, led by the esteemed Chief Guest, Sh. Nitin Goel Ji, President of the School Managing Committee, in the gracious presence of the Founder Members of the Maharaja Aggarsain Public School Society and respected members of the School Managing Committee.
On this auspicious occasion, the Founder Members of The Maharaja Aggarsain Public School Society and esteemed members of the School Managing Committee—Dr. K.C. Agarwal Ji, Dr. R.N. Bansal Ji, Sh. Ishwar Chand Singla Ji, Sh. Rajender Singhal Ji, Sh. Rajesh Aggarwal Ji, Sh. Manik Goel Ji, Sh. Amit Goel Ji, Sh. Ravinder Aggarwal Ji and Sh. Jai Bhagwan Singla Ji—graced the celebration with their esteemed presence.
The majestic unfurling of the Tricolour was followed by a dignified salute to the National Flag and an impressive NCC Parade, reflecting discipline, dedication and national pride.
The dignitaries were then warmly welcomed into the auditorium, where the programme continued with a soulful Community Song. The harmonious voices of the students filled the auditorium with a sense of unity and devotion, setting a meaningful tone for the celebrations.
A thought-provoking speech by a student highlighted the value of freedom and the responsibilities that come with it. The stage then came alive with the spectacular choreography, “क्रान्ति की ज्वाला से स्वतंत्रता के उजाले तक”, presented by the Senior and Junior students. Through powerful expressions, coordinated movements and evocative storytelling, the performance beautifully portrayed India’s journey from the struggle for freedom to the dawn of independence.
The patriotic spirit continued with a heartfelt poem, followed by an energetic Dumbbell & Ring Dance that showcased rhythm, coordination, agility and physical fitness. The audience was then treated to a melodious Group Song, followed by an elegant Classical Dance celebrating India’s rich artistic and cultural heritage. Each performance reflected the creativity, confidence and dedication of our young learners.
Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest, Sh. Nitin Goel Ji, appreciated the sincere efforts of the students and teachers and spoke about the importance of character, discipline, responsibility and service to the nation. His inspiring words encouraged the students to become responsible citizens and contribute meaningfully to the growth and development of the country.
The programme moved towards its conclusion with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks by respected Madam Principal, Ms. Rita Goyal, who expressed her gratitude to the Chief Guest, dignitaries, management members, teachers, students and everyone whose wholehearted efforts contributed to the success of the celebration.
The grand finale, a vibrant Group Dance on “Vande Mataram”, filled the auditorium with patriotic fervour and brought the celebration to a memorable close. The powerful presentation beautifully conveyed the message of unity, pride and love for the motherland.
The celebration was a heartfelt tribute to the heroes who gifted us our freedom and a gentle reminder that the true spirit of independence lies not merely in freedom, but in unity, responsibility, discipline and service to the nation.
The 80th Independence Day celebration at APS left every heart filled with pride and every young mind inspired to do its part in building a stronger, brighter and more prosperous India.
