Anemia Free India Campaign Awareness Program at M. S. Sr. Sec. School, Jhansa

Keeping in view the health and well-being of students, a special awareness program on the importance of iron tablets was organized at M. S. Sr. Sec. School Jhansa. The program was conducted by Dr. Sudesh Sharma and Ramesh Kumar from Community Health Centre Jhansa, who provided valuable guidance on various health-related issues.

During the session, the doctors explained that iron deficiency can lead to anemia, weakness, fatigue, dizziness, and poor concentration in studies. They emphasized the importance of taking iron tablets regularly as prescribed and maintaining a balanced and nutritious diet. Students were encouraged to include iron-rich foods such as green leafy vegetables, pulses, jaggery, gram, groundnuts, and other healthy items in their daily meals.

Dr. Sudesh Kumar (Health Inspector) and Ramesh Kumar also highlighted the importance of personal hygiene, regular health check-ups, and adopting a healthy lifestyle. Dr. Ramesh Kumar further demonstrated the correct method of handwashing and explained various measures to maintain overall cleanliness and prevent diseases.

The students participated enthusiastically in the interactive session and asked several questions related to health and nutrition, which were answered clearly and effectively by the doctors.

The school administration expressed sincere gratitude to the visiting doctors and stated that such awareness programs play a vital role in ensuring the good health and bright future of the students.

Our school joyfully celebrated the sacred Guru Teg Bahadur Ji Shaheedi Diwas, honoring his message of courage, sacrifice, and humanity.

House-wise Competitions:
• Quiz Competition – Students showcased excellent knowledge of Sikh history.
• Handwriting Competition – One student from each house participated with dedication.
• Speech Competition – Students delivered inspiring speeches on Guru Ji’s life and teachings.

We were honored by the presence of Gurdwara Pathi Ji, who not only blessed the occasion with spiritual guidance but also distributed prizes to the winners of all competitions. This made the celebration even more special and motivating for our students.

कुरुक्षेत्र में बाल भवन में हरियाणजूनियर विंग से सिरतप्रीत कौर ने इंग्लिश सुलेख लेखन एवं देवव्रत गुप्ता ने हिन्दी सुलेख लेखन में पूरे जिले में प्रथम स्थान प्राप्त किया, जबकि सीनियर विंग से भक्ति गुप्ता ने हिन्दी सुलेख लेखन में द्वितीय स्थान हासिल किया। पोस्टर मेकिंग प्रतियोगिता में कक्षा 11वीं की हरसिमरत कौर और कक्षा 10वीं की सुनैन को सांत्वना पुरस्कार से सम्मानित किया गया। विद्यालय पहुंचने पर प्रिंसिपल श्रीमती रिधिका गोयल ने बच्चों को बधाई देते हुए उनके आत्मविश्वास की सराहना की और उज्जवल भविष्य की शुभकामनाएँ दीं।
