KNOW THE DIFFERENCE

TEASING vs HARASSMENT vs MOLESTATION

1) Teasing (टीज़िंग)

English: Light jokes or playful behaviour meant to irritate or fun.
Hindi: हल्की-फुल्की छेड़छाड़ या मज़ाक, जहाँ कोई sexual intention नहीं होती।

Examples:
• He is teasing her. = वह उसे मज़ाक में चिढ़ा रहा है।
• She teased him about his hairstyle.

2) Harassment (हैरासमेंट)

English: Repeated behaviour that disturbs, annoys, or troubles someone.
Hindi: बार-बार परेशान करना, तंग करना, चाहे sexual हो या non-sexual।

Examples:
• He is harassing her with nonstop messages.
वह उसे लगातार मैसेज करके परेशान कर रहा है।
• She is harassing him at work.

3) Molestation (मोलैस्टेशन)

English: Serious sexual misconduct or unwanted sexual touching.
Hindi: किसी को गलत तरीके से, जबरदस्ती, sexual नीयत से छूना या sexual abuse करना।
यह criminal offence है।

Examples:
• The man was arrested for molestation.
• Child molestation is a serious crime.
