Interactive Session on Local Self-Government

On 5th February 2026, the students of Class XI actively participated in an insightful meeting with local self-government leaders. The session provided a valuable platform for students to discuss important community issues and understand the functioning of local governance.

The interaction helped students gain practical knowledge about leadership, civic responsibility, and the role of local authorities in community development. It was truly an enriching experience that encouraged young minds to become informed and responsible citizens.
We appreciate the local leaders for their time and guidance, and we are proud of our students for their enthusiastic participation!

This article written by Mr. Sanjay Kumar, Secretary, School Education and Literacy Department presents a humanitarian and student-centered approach towards education. The article emphasizes exams on reducing stress, making the learning process enjoyable and overall development of students.

These thoughts are deeply connected to the spirit of initiated under the leadership of Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi which gives the message of not fear of exams, but an opportunity to learn and build confidence.

Exams are Not the Ultimate Goal of Life

The Vision of 'Pariksha Pe Charcha'

The initiative 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' began in 2018 with a conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and students. Its goal is to reduce exam stress and make the process of learning joyful. By 2025, it set a world record with over 3.53 crore (35.3 million) registrations in a single month, reaching more than 21 crore (210 million) viewers globally. The message is clear: exams are not the end of life, but merely a significant stage in the journey of continuous learning.

Focus on Mental Health and Well-being
The initiative places heavy emphasis on mental health. Experts suggest simple techniques for students to manage stress:
• The 5-4-3-2-1 Grounding Technique: A sensory-based mindfulness practice to calm racing thoughts.
• Healthy Routine: Prioritizing adequate sleep, hydration, exercise, and meditation.
• Lifelong Learning: The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 emphasizes that a percentage of marks cannot define a child’s entire personality.
The Challenge of the Digital Age
The article warns against the rise of "Digital Dementia" caused by excessive screen time. Globally, people spend billions of hours daily on digital platforms, which can lead to a decrease in "gray matter" in parts of the brain responsible for emotional regulation and impulse control. Students are advised to set healthy boundaries and use technology as a helpful tool rather than a burden.

A Message for Parents and Teachers

• Shift from Rote Learning: Teachers are encouraged to promote critical thinking and creativity over memorization.
• No Comparisons: Parents should avoid comparing their children with others and create an environment where children can openly share their fears and expectations.
• Supportive Behavior: A parent’s supportive attitude is the most crucial element in a child’s exam preparation.

Conclusion
Ultimately, 'Pariksha Pe Charcha' is more than just a program; it is a step toward a positive change in the Indian education system. It reinforces that exams are not a load to carry, but an opportunity to learn, grow, and understand oneself.

The “after-school scroll” is a trap. Students think they recharging, but we’re actually just draining the last of their mental battery. Try giving yourself a “Digital Sunset” today. No screens for the first hour after you get home. See how much better your evening (and your sleep) becomes.
