Holy Cross Institute A Vocational Higher Secondary School with 1 year secretarial course. LOCATION: Holy Cross Institute is ideally located at St.Mary's Hill of Kurseong.

Holy Cross Institute is managed by the Sister of Mercy of the Holy Cross , North East Province. This congregation is world wide organization founded by Fr. Theodosius Florentini ofm and Mother Maria Theresa Scherer as they urged by the need of time in 1856 in Switzerland. Their zeal for the service of humanity brought the sisters to India in 1894. Today Holy Cross sister are spread all over India

to engage themselves in social works. The sisters started a house in Kurseong in 1956. Initially a dispensary was opened to care for the sick .In 1967 Sr. Valentiana was inspired to start a Home Science Social Center. In 1975 the Secretarial course got affiliated to the Board of Commercial Education West Bengal. In 1976 two (Vocational Stream) Trade & Commerce were also introduced.
