మైపర్ లో ఘనంగా శ్రీమతి తెరిసమ్మ 3 వర్ధంతి వేడుకలు
కర్నూల్ నగరంలోని ఏ క్యాంప్ నందు గల మైపర్ ఫార్మసి కాలేజ్ లో ఈరోజు తెరిసా శామ్యూల్ జార్జ్ సొసైటీ వ్యవస్థాపకురాలు శ్రీమతి చెరుకూరి తెరిసమ్మ గారి 3 వర్ధంతిని ఘనంగా నిర్వహించడం జరిగింది. ఈ సందర్భంగా శ్రీమతి చెరుకూరి తెరిసమ్మ గారు మొట్టమొదటగా 1983లో రాయలసీమ జిల్లాలోనే రాయలసీమ క్రిస్టియన్ కాలేజ్ ని స్థాపించి దాని ద్వారా ఎస్ ఆర్ సి సి బీఈడీ, తెరిసా డిగ్రీ కాలేజ్,, ఎస్ఆర్సి స్కూల్ మరియు ఆమె పేరు మీద స్థాపించిన మదర్ తెరిసా ఇన్స్టిట్యూట్ ఆఫ్ ఫార్మసిటికల్ ఎడ్యుకేషన్, ఎస్ఆర్సి బీఈడీ కాలేజ్ నందు చదివిన విద్యార్థులు రాష్ట్రవ్యాప్తంగా ప్రభుత్వ ప్రైవేటు విద్యాసంస్థల్లో అధ్యాపకులుగా పనిచేస్తున్నారు. ఎంతో క్రమశిక్షణతో విద్యను నేర్పి ఎంతోమందికి ఆదర్శప్రాయమయ్యారు ఈ సందర్భంగా వక్తలు ఆమె గురించి కొనియాడారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా మైపర్ ఫార్మసి కాలేజ్ డైరెక్టర్ డాక్టర్ ఆదిమూలపు సతీష్ శ్రీమతి తెరిస్సమ్మ గారి విగ్రహానికి పూలమాల వేసి నివాళులర్పించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా మైపర్ కళాశాల ప్రిన్సిపాల్ డాక్టర్ ఎం రాజ్ కుమార్. వైస్ ప్రిన్సిపాల్ డాక్టర్ కాసర్ల సురేష్, ఎస్ఆర్సి బీఈడీ ప్రిన్సిపాల్ డాక్టర్ ప్రకాష్, ఐజయ్య, ఇతర అధ్యాపకులు విద్యార్థులు పాల్గొని నివాళులర్పించారు.

Drug Abuse Awareness Programme at MIPER College
MIPER College, Kurnool successfully organized a Drug Abuse Awareness Programme at the MIPER Auditorium in association with the Eagle Team, Kurnool. The programme aimed to create awareness among students about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage a healthy, disciplined lifestyle.
Members of the Eagle Team interacted with students and explained the serious physical, mental, and social consequences of substance abuse. Through real-life examples and engaging discussions, students were motivated to make responsible choices, focus on their goals, and stay away from drugs.
The college management appreciated the efforts of the Eagle Team and reaffirmed MIPER College’s commitment to maintaining a drug-free and safe campus. Students actively participated in the programme and pledged to spread awareness and lead a positive, healthy life.

World AIDS Day Awareness Program Held at Mother Theresa Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research
To mark World AIDS Day, the students of Pharm D (First Year) and B.Pharm (First Year) of Mother Theresa Institute of Pharmaceutical Education and Research (MIPER) organized an awareness program on the campus on Monday.
This year’s global theme — “Overcoming Disruption: Transforming AIDS Response” — was prominently highlighted throughout the event.
The program aimed to educate students and the community about HIV/AIDS prevention, stigma reduction, and the importance of early diagnosis and treatment. Students conducted presentations, poster exhibitions, and an awareness Ralley that emphasizing the need to build resilient health systems, especially in the post-pandemic era.
Faculty members appreciated the initiative taken by the first-year students and encouraged them to continue participating in public-health awareness activities. The event concluded with an oath to spread compassion, awareness, and scientific understanding to help eliminate AIDS-related discrimination.

National Constitution Day Celebration – MIPER College
Today, MIPER College proudly celebrated National Constitution Day with great respect and enthusiasm. The program highlighted the importance of the Indian Constitution and the visionary leadership of Dr. B. R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Constitution. Students and faculty together read the Preamble, reaffirming their commitment to the values of justice, liberty, equality, and fraternity. Various activities, including speeches and discussions delivered by our honourable chief guest Dr.Satish garu MS(Opthal)helped create awareness about constitutional rights and duties. The event successfully inspired everyone to uphold the spirit of democracy and responsible citizenship.

The final day of the National Pharmacy Week (NPW) program was marked by enthusiastic participation and vibrant activities. Students actively took part in the Animated Video Competition and PowerPoint Presentation Contest, showcasing their creativity, knowledge, and communication skills.
A special highlight of the day was the short film on Vaccination prepared and presented by the Pharm D 3rd Year students, which received great appreciation from the audience for its informative content and impactful message.
The Valedictory Function was conducted in a dignified manner, followed by the Prize Distribution Ceremony, where winners of various events were honored for their outstanding performances.
A special thanks was extended to Dr. Stella Madam Garu, Dr.Rajkumar sir,and all the coordinating faculty members for their constant support, guidance, and encouragement throughout the NPW program.
The program concluded with an official Vote of Thanks, expressing gratitude to all the participants, faculty, organizers, and supporters who made NPW a memorable and successful event.

As Part of National Pharmacy Week – NPW 2025
Today, MIPER students are visiting SR Prime Junior College as part of the National Pharmacy Week (NPW) 2025 celebrations. This year’s theme, “Pharmacists as Advocates of Vaccination,” focuses on educating the community about the importance of vaccines and the critical role pharmacists play in promoting immunization.
To create awareness about vaccination among junior college students.
To highlight the importance of vaccines in preventing infectious diseases.
To explain how pharmacists contribute to vaccine advocacy, education, safety, and administration.
To encourage youth to support and participate in community vaccination initiatives.
Activities
Introductory briefing on NPW 2025 and its theme.
Educational talk by MIPER students on vaccine types, benefits, safety, and common misconceptions.
Demonstration on proper vaccine handling, storage, and cold-chain maintenance.
