It gives me immense pleasure to put in black and white that the Shiekhul Alam College of Education Drugmulla Kupwara has made tremendous perceptible progress since its inception. Beginning with 120 students in 2002,the college has an intake capacity of 320 students at present. Five sections of B.Ed class are run simultaneously. Over 1500 students have undergone B.Ed course through this college till now .The College has done commendable job in the field of human resource development. Previously hundreds of students from Northern states of India also pursued B.Ed Course here. Time is not for when M.Ed course will also be available here.
Now that the college is in the skies due to modern technological /scientific development, it is my cherished desire and heartfelt prayer that the college moves forward as an institution of educational excellence for prospective teachers and achieves the role of a trend-setter in the field of Education

The Sheikh ul Alam College of Education Dragmulla Kupwara was established in the year 2002 .The college being the only professional college of this far flung / backward hilly district caters to the need of the educated youth, both male & female of thirteen educational zones of the district and catchment area extends to Karnah , Keran, Machil and Jumgand. Besides it is an inter state college of education.
Over one thousand students from the district and hundreds of students out side the state have undergone B.Ed degree courses in this college till date. The College has shown excellent results over the years.
The college management leaves no stone unturned in providing the requisite facilities and its because of their dedication and belongingness towards the cause of education that the college have achieved marvelous success. The college serves as a Beacon-Light in this frontier district. The college provides the quality education.
The cordial relations between the management and the staff have provided a congenial environment, which is so conductive for an academic excellence. The college is affiliated with NAAC accredited Grade’A’ university of Kashmir for B. Ed with an intake capacity of 240 Students.
